“Look, you just need to do exactly what I tell you, and I’ll handle the rest.”

Vanessa’s voice was low but sharp as she sat across from a young man in a luxurious café. The man was a freelance photographer who often sold scoops to gossip outlets.

He swallowed nervously. “Are you sure this won’t backfire on you?”

Vanessa flashed a sweet smile, though her eyes glittered with cold malice. “Of course not. The only one in the spotlight will be Deviana. I just need a few pictures to make her look… inappropriate.”

The man glanced at the thick envelope Vanessa slid across the table. He opened it just enough to see stacks of cash. His lips curled into a greedy grin. “With this much money, I can make the whole world believe Deviana is nothing more than a social climber.”

That night, Deviana finally left the office after hours of sketching. She carried a stack of designs in her arms, tired but content that her team was beginning to trust her again.

Suddenly, a male colleague, Kevin, appeared

“Everyone is against me… everyone!” Vanessa paced back and forth inside her dimly lit, luxurious bedroom. Her hair was in disarray, her fingers clutching her phone so tightly her knuckles turned white. Her bloodshot eyes gleamed with restless anxiety. She opened her messages and began typing furiously:> “If you dare open your mouth about those photos, I’ll make sure your life is destroyed. Don’t even think about crossing me. You know who I am!”Her hands shook, her breath came in sharp bursts. With a final jab of her thumb, she hit send.“Now they’ll know who holds the power,” she muttered with a crooked smile, though her heart pounded violently in her chest. But the smile vanished instantly when she saw the recipient’s name. Not her ally. Not the staff member she meant to threaten. It was Adrian.---Across town, Adrian had just set aside a stack of investigation files when his phone chimed. He raised an eyebrow at the notification.“Vanessa?” he muttered, unlocking the screen. As h

“Vanessa! Smile, the cameras are pointing this way!” one of the photographers called out loudly.Vanessa stood on the red carpet at a charity gala, wrapped in a stunning crimson gown. The flashes of the cameras blinded her eyes, but the smile she forced looked stiff. Her hand, clutching a jeweled purse, trembled ever so slightly—almost beyond her control.“Yes… of course,” she murmured, her lips curving only faintly. But her eyes told a different story. No longer full of confidence and poise, they carried a shadow of fragility and unease. Several journalists exchanged whispers, noticing the sharp contrast to the Vanessa who once radiated untouchable elegance.---From across the room, Clarissa folded her arms, her gaze cold. The moment the event concluded, she strode up to Vanessa.“You shouldn’t have come like this,” Clarissa said sharply, her tone more like a reprimand than advice.Vanessa turned quickly, attempting another fragile smile. “I’m just… a little tired. Everything will b

“Do it quickly, just as I said!” Vanessa slammed her phone onto the marble table with a sharp crack. Her breath came fast, her face flushed with fury. Two of her assistants, seated nervously across from her, exchanged frightened glances.“But, Miss Vanessa…” one of them dared to speak, his voice trembling, “the public is still buzzing about Deviana’s case. If we create another scandal now, they might—”“Silence!” Vanessa’s eyes blazed as she cut him off. “I know exactly what I’m doing. If people are distracted with a new scandal, they’ll forget about Deviana, they’ll forget about… me.”Her hand snatched up a glass of wine. She downed it in one harsh gulp, as though the bitter taste could drown her own anxiety. Yet even the burn of alcohol failed to calm the storm raging inside her.---The next morning, several gossip accounts began spreading fragments of a new rumor Vanessa had planted—sordid whispers about a young designer linked to an affair among the elite. Vanessa hoped this spar

Vanessa sat in the lavish living room of her apartment, legs crossed as her gaze fixed on the stack of envelopes filled with cash she had placed on the glass table.“You understand, don’t you?” Her voice was cold but coercive as she stared at one of her allies standing before her. “This isn’t just an offer. This… is an investment in your future. Make sure no one dares to oppose us.”The ally swallowed hard. “Of course, Miss Vanessa. I… I’ll do my best.”Vanessa smiled faintly, though her eyes revealed something far darker.“Good. Remember—silence is golden. No one must know what we’re doing.”What Vanessa failed to notice was that her ally had quietly activated the recorder on his phone in his pocket. Every word she spoke, every admission of her scheme with the fake photos, was being captured clearly.“And if anyone dares to leak information… we know how to deal with them,” Vanessa continued, her tone low but laced with menace. The ally nodded, his eyes flickering with a mix of fear a

“Who dares?” Vanessa slammed a thick folder onto the glass desk in her office. Her voice was cold, yet trembling with fury. Two staff members standing before her exchanged nervous glances, afraid to speak.“D-do you mean… is there something wrong with this report, Miss Vanessa?” one of them stammered.Vanessa’s eyes narrowed, sharp as blades.“Wrong? The problem is none of you can be trusted anymore! Someone leaked information. Do you think I don’t know?”The staff froze, cold sweat trickling down their temples.Vanessa paced back and forth, the staccato of her high heels striking against the marble floor.“I’ve seen how you whisper in the hallways, how your eyes shift every time Deviana’s name is mentioned. Do not think I’m blind!”One of them dared to open his mouth.“Miss, we never—”“Silence!” Vanessa snapped. Her voice echoed against the walls.“If I find even one of you betraying me, I will personally make sure your career is destroyed!”The two bowed quickly, nodding, then hurr

“Are you ready?” Lila’s voice was soft, but full of encouragement.Deviana stared at her reflection in the office mirror. A simple yet elegant blazer wrapped neatly around her frame. Her eyes still carried traces of exhaustion from sleepless nights spent gathering evidence, but this time there was something new in them: a spark of fire.“I have to be ready,” she whispered, taking a deep breath. “I can’t keep being the victim of rumors.”Lila smiled and patted her shoulder. “That’s the Deviana I know.”---In the company’s conference room, the creative team gathered. Faces that once looked at her with disdain now showed curiosity—some even respect. Deviana placed a folder of documents and her laptop on the table, then stood tall.“I know,” she began, her voice steady, “that in the past weeks, you’ve all heard the rumors about me. The photos, the comments, the news outside… they’ve been enough to break me.”A few people looked down, ashamed.“But today,” Deviana continued, “I bring proo
