Chapter 1

Anita's heart was pounding as she was blindfolded and forced into a car. She had no idea who had taken her or where she was going. The only thing she could hear was the sound of tires screeching as the car sped away.

"Ahh! Who are you? What do you want?" Anita screamed.

But there was no reply. Only the sound of the driver shifting gears.

After a long and bumpy journey, the car finally came to a halt. The doors opened, and Anita was roughly dragged out of the vehicle. Her captors took off her blindfold, and Anita found herself face to face with a man she had never seen before.

The man gave a crooked smile. "Hello, my dear. I hope you're comfortable. You're going to be here for a little while."

"Who are you? What do you want from me?" Anita asked, her voice trembling.

"My name is Alexander," the man replied. "And I want nothing from you. You see, I've come to rescue you."

"Rescue me?" Anita repeated, confused.

"Yes. You're In a relationship with Alfredo. He's a ruthless man. He's not good for you."

Anita was stunned. "What are you talking about?"

Alexander chuckled. "You'll find out soon enough. But first, we need to make sure you're safe. Your father is being held captive in another one of our locations. Don't worry, he's not being harmed. But we need to make sure he doesn't try anything stupid."

Anita's mind was reeling. What was going on? Was she really in danger with Alfredo?

"Listen to me carefully, Anita," Alexander said, sensing her confusion. "I know you don't trust me right now. But I'm the only one who can help you. And I promise you, once you're safe, I will explain everything."

Anita didn't know what to think. Who was this man? Was he really a hero, or was he just another monster?

As they walked through the corridors of the building where she was being held captive, Anita saw her father for the first time in what felt like hours. He was sitting on a chair, handcuffed, surrounded by a group of burly men.

"Dad!" Anita cried out.

"My baby!" Felix exclaimed, as tears welled up in his eyes. "Are you okay?"

Anita rushed to her father's side, and they embraced tightly.

"Thank god you're okay," Felix said, kissing her forehead.

Anita looked up at Alexander. "Why is my father being held captive? What do you want from him?"

"We don't want anything from him," Alexander replied. "But we need to make sure he doesn't try to interfere with our plans. You're the key to everything, Anita. And we can't risk anything going wrong."

"What plans?" Anita asked, her heart racing.

Alexander smiled. "Everything will become clear very soon. But for now, let's get you and your father out of here. I have a safe place where you can stay until things are resolved."

Anita had no choice but to trust Alexander. It seemed like her life was spiraling out of control, and he was the only one who could protect her. As they left the building and got into a car, she couldn't help but wonder what was going to happen next.

Alexander watched as Anita and Felix boarded the helicopter that would take them to a safer location. He couldn't help but feel a sense of relief that they were finally out of danger.

Once they were safely on their way, Alexander turned to his men. "Make sure the perimeter is secure. We don't want any surprises," he ordered.

His men nodded and dispersed to their respective positions, Alexander knew that Alfredo would be furious when he found out that Felix was no longer in his custody. But that was a problem for another day. Right now, his priority was to keep Anita and her father safe.

As he walked back to his mansion, Alexander couldn't help but think about Anita. He had always been attracted to her, but he knew that he couldn't pursue her while she was still under Alfredo's control. But now that she was free, he could finally make his move.

Meanwhile, Alfredo was sitting in his castle waiting for Felix to arrive. He had given Felix an ultimatum either give him the money he owed him or hand over his daughter. But it seemed like neither was going to happen.

He paced around his castle, seething with anger. "Where are they?" he muttered to himself.

Just then, one of his men entered the room. "Boss, there's been a development," he said.

Alfredo's ears perked up. "What kind of development?" he asked.

"Felix and his daughter are no longer in our custody. They were taken by Alexander," the man replied.

Alfredo's eyes widened with anger. "What? How dare he interfere in my business like that!" he bellowed.

He knew that this was going to escalate into a war between their cartels. But he wasn't afraid. He was determined to get Anita back under his control and make Alexander pay for his interference.

Back at Alexander's mansion, Anita was busy settling into her new surroundings. Alexander had made sure that she had everything she needed and more. But Anita couldn't shake off the feeling that something bad was going to happen.

"Are you okay?" Alexander asked her as he walked into her room.

Anita looked up at him and forced a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you for everything," she replied.

Alexander sat down beside her on the bed. "I know this is overwhelming for you, but I promise you'll be safe here," he said.

Anita nodded and leaned her head on his shoulder. She couldn't believe that she was feeling this close to a mafia lord. But she knew that she had to tread carefully. After all, he was still a dangerous man.

A few weeks later, before they knew it, Anita and Alexander had grown closer. They would spend hours talking about everything and anything. But Anita couldn't ignore the fact that Alfredo was still out there, waiting to get his hands on her.

One evening, as they sat in the garden, Alexander turned to her. "Anita, I know this is sudden, but I have to know do you feel the same way about me as I do about you?" he asked, his eyes searching hers.

Anita's heart skipped a beat. She had been trying to avoid this conversation, knowing that it would only complicate things. But she  lied to him. "Yes, I do," she replied softly.

Alexander smiled and leaned in to kiss her. But their moment was interrupted by the sound of gunshots.

They jumped up, ready to defend themselves. But before they could do anything, Alfredo's men had surrounded them.

"I told you not to interfere in my business, Alexander," Alfredo said, stepping forward.

Alexander drew his gun and aimed it at Alfredo. "I won't let you harm her," he said, his eyes blazing with fury.

Anita stood frozen, not knowing what to do. She was torn between the two men she cared about.

But before anything could happen, Felix stepped forward. "Stop this madness! Anita Is my daughter, she didn't belong to any of you!" he yelled, why do you want to declare war, If there's any other thing else between you men, try as much as possible and let It be settled, Felix said, and he was trying to explain to them, a stray bullet from Alfredo's henchmen hit Felix from outside, and he collapsed, and fainted,
