True colours

"I'm sorry," I said again, my voice breaking. "I never meant to hurt you. I love you both so much."

Luna and Orion clung to me tightly, their tears soaking my hospital gown. I could feel the warmth of their bodies, the beating of their hearts, and I knew that I never wanted to lose them again.

As we sat there, huddled together in my hospital bed, I realized just how much I had to be grateful for.
