Lorna's POV:I had learnt to lie to Ray with confidence, not that I loved it, but the truth would cost me a lot. I thought he wouldn't believe me as usual, but this act paid off. The aroma of simmering stew clung to the kitchen walls as Valerie stirred the pot gently.
