Chapter 45
Imman's father did not stay long at his apartment. The old man was restless, thinking a lot about his garden and his house. Cassandra visited him every day, sometimes with the kids. He played with his oldest grandchild whose passion for board games has not changed. As for their mother, she enjoyed cooking for them then watched them spent time together with their grandfather.
One evening, she received a call from Imman informing her that his father-in-law has arrived, forcing him to marry his niece but he refused. He wanted her to come to his apartment and stayed with him for the night. Cassandra rushed to his residence and found Imman restless. She smiled at him, then gave him a warm hug. "Imman, what is wrong with you? Is there a problem? Tell me what happened." she asked the lawyer, worried about what he said on the phone.
He looked up at the heiress, grinned a little, and continued to keep looking far away.

It didn't take long before the lawyer went to the study room and have a conversation with the chairman. During dinner, they did not engage in any dialogue regarding his relationship with the mother of her unborn child. Many a time when the pregnant woman had to ask the lawyer to assist her for she is feeling dizzy and while roaming around looking for the proper clothes for their child. Elijah went home alone. His auntie Jane was surprised not to see him at school when she came to pick her son Billy and him up. He told his cousin that he had to go to a friend's house and that he will go home by himself. Cassandra got alarmed when Jane called and informed her about her son. She called Elijah immediately but he did not bother answering his phone. She got a text message coming from him, saying that he is on his way home, and she must not get worried. Her son rented a taxi cab to bring him to the mansion. Whenever the twins needed the help of their elder brother, they call him into the living room. That afternoon, the kids told him that they have been treated by their parents to an ice cream parlor where they ate their favorite ice cream flavor.
