Celine.

As the bouncers began to carry Jax toward the building, his arms draped over their necks. His left leg dragged limply along the ground.

I didn't run back to my car. Instead, I followed. I walked quietly behind them, staying a few steps back. I needed to make sure he was going to be okay before I left. That was the right thing to do.

I couldn't just speed away into the night without seeing him settled.

They didn't follow the regular road through the loud, neon-lit club area that I had passed through the very first time I came to this place.

This time around, they passed through a narrow, metal back door and moved down a series of long, quiet corridors. The walls were painted a stark white color. a place that smelled strongly of bleach and medicine.

They carried him into a large, brightly lit room that looked exactly like a private hospital clinic.

The moment the door swung open, a young woman stood up from a desk.

Damn... She was really beautiful, with long dark hair tied back neatly. She was wearing a crisp, white lab coat over her regular clothes, and a stethoscope was draped around her neck.

She looked like she was running some kind of secret, underground medical operation right here in the back of the building.

Maybe she was his wife? Maybe.

She didn't even glance at me once when we walked into the room. Her eyes locked entirely onto Jax's pale face.

"Oh my God!" she gasped, her voice full of sudden, intense worry. She sprinted across the room, helping the bouncers guide Jax onto a long steel medical table. "Rocco! What is wrong with you? What happened?"

Jax sank onto the table with a low, agonizing groan. He squeezed his eyes shut, his chest heaving up and down rapidly. "I had an accident," he muttered through his teeth, his breath rattling. "A bad one."

"An accident?" the medical girl repeated, her hands already moving fast. She reached down, her fingers quickly unzipping his jacket and checking his pulse.

Then she finally turned her head to look at me. Her sharp, intelligent eyes scanned my messy appearance, my bleeding forehead, and the terror written all over my face.

I swallowed hard.

"Hi..." I whispered, clutching the strap of my handbag tightly. My voice sounded incredibly small in the quiet room.

“How… how did this happen?” She asked, looking at me.

Rocco let out a rough cough, clearing his throat. "It is a long story," he told the lady, his voice laced with pain. "But the short story is... this is the person that hit me with her vehicle. She brought me back here."

I stepped forward, my eyes filling with a fresh wave of warm tears. "I am so sorry," I whispered, looking at the beautiful doctor. "I am so, so sorry. I did not mean to do this."

The girl in the lab coat looked down at Rocco’s left leg. She carefully sliced open the fabric of his trousers with a pair of medical scissors. The skin underneath was already turning a dark, angry shade of purple, heavily swollen around the bone. She let out a sharp breath.

She turned her face back to me, her eyes cold and unsmiling. "I would have liked to say that it is fine, but it is absolutely not fine. This is bad. This is a very severe fracture."

"I am sorry," I whispered again, a fresh tear rolling down my cheek. "I am so sorry. Believe me."

The girl let out a long sigh, turning her attention back to her medical tray. "It's fine. It's okay now. I think you can go now. We will take care of him from here."

I nodded. But just before I left, "I… I... please, can I ask for one more thing?” I blurted out even before I could stop myself.

She didn't answer. She just raised a questioning brow. I took it as a yes.

“Please, I beg you. Don't report me to the police. Don't report this crash to anyone, please. I beg you. I really beg you."

The medical girl looked at me for a long second. She saw how desperate I was. "No," she said softly, her voice turning a bit gentler. "It is fine. It is okay. We don't involve the police in our matters anyway. We got this. It is okay. You can leave."

"Thank you," I gasped, wiping my eyes quickly. "Thank you so much."

Instantly, I turned around on my heel, ready to sprint out of the room and finally drive home to my sick babies.

"Hey," a deep, rough voice called out from behind my back.

I stopped instantly.

I turned around slowly, my heart thumping against my ribs.

Rocco was staring straight at me from the medical table. His dark eyes were burning into mine through the bright fluorescent lights of the room. "My phone," he growled low.

"Oh!" I gasped, my cheeks turning a bright red color. "Yeah. Right. I am sorry."

I quickly dug my hand deep into my leather handbag.

In my rush to leave, my palms hit both cell phones sitting right next to each other at the bottom of the dark bag. They felt identical. Without looking at the screen, I just blindly grabbed the first one my fingers wrapped around. I pulled it out and stepped closer to the table, stretching out my arm to hand it over to him.

Rocco reached out his hand. His fingers closed around the metal casing, snatching it out of my grip.

"Thank you," I started whispered again, my voice shaking. "Thank you. And… once again I am so sorry for your leg... honestly."

Rocco didn't even wait for me to finish talking. He ignored my words, turning his head away to look at the doctor girl—or his wife—as she rubbed an alcohol wipe against his skin.

The last time he saved my life from that bad guy, he was cool. Even though he was dangerous. But this time around, he was obviously in a terrible mood.

But honestly, who would be in a good mood when a girl had just smashed into their motorcycle and broken their leg? If it were me lying on that steel table with a fractured bone, I wouldn't even be sitting straight. He was quite an incredibly tough guy to be sitting there without screaming.

I didn't stay a second longer. I turned around and sprinted out of the white room, my heels echoing loudly down the concrete corridor.

I burst through the back doors and ran straight to the driver's side of the car. I slid onto the soft leather seat and slammed the door shut, locking it instantly. The dashboard lit up with that soft blue light.

My babies were waiting for me. I just needed to go home.

How bad is the damage to her new car, she wont be able to afford to fix it, let alone get her babies to the hospital. She absolutely needs to tell Luna about the kids, if anything, that will help their med. needs & give just cause for more ammunition against Julian. Goodness!!!! Cant wait for more!!

Celine I stood silently by the tall glass window of my room. The night outside was pitch-black. I rested my palm against the cool glass, staring down into the quiet yard below. Parked under the towering trees was my car. Jax had repaired it. The dented fender was smoothed out, the shattered headlight was replaced with fresh glass, and the dark paint sparkled even under the dim moonlight. But I hadn't seen him since that morning. Ever since the day he dropped me off in front of the pack headquarters, he had vanished into thin air. He never stopped by. I let out a soft, heavy sigh, my breath fogging up the glass window. I looked across the empty yard. Once upon a time, this place was full of bright lights, loud laughter, and children playing near the garden. It used to be a home filled with joy and celebration. Now, it was just a dark, lonely space surrounded by trees, cold wind, and faint porch lights. There were no guards stationed at the gate anymore. There was no security

Julian.Rocco rested his elbow on the arm of his chair, taking another long, slow puff from his cigarette. “How I got this file is none of your concern, Julian,” Rocco said, his voice dropping into a quiet, chilling tone. “I know every single thing that moves in and out of your palace. Do not play games with me. I am only showing you this because an official investigation is already being launched using those exact records.” I froze in my seat. My blood turned to liquid ice. “Investigation?” I whispered, my voice barely audible over the quiet hum of the room. “The money listed on those pages...” Rocco murmured, tilting his head slightly. “Did you really think nobody was going to notice it was missing?” I didn’t answer him. I couldn’t. My tongue felt like rock inside my mouth. Every single dollar listed in that ledger was money I had secretly pulled from the pack treasury to pay the black-market dealer in the Borderlands. “How the fuck did you get this?!” I slammed my open palm h

julian. “Name your price,” I said without missing a beat. Rocco didn’t answer me right away. He raised his right hand and snapped his fingers twice. A tall assistant stepped out from a dark corner of the room carrying a silver tray with a crystal decanter and two glass cups. The assistant poured amber liquid into one glass and set it down on the table right in front of Rocco. My throat felt dry from the long drive. I reached my hand across the glass table to pick up the drink. Before my fingers could touch the crystal, Rocco slapped his palm down onto the table, stopping my hand in mid-air. “I didn’t say that drink was for you,” Rocco said coldly, his dark eyes fixing on mine. “That is my glass.” I pulled my hand back, forcing a faint, easy laugh to cover my annoyance. “Your visitor doesn’t even get a glass of water?” “An uninvited visitor has no business touching my drinks,” Rocco replied smoothly. He picked up his glass, took a slow sip, and let out a long breath. “You came

Julian I pushed through the padded inner doors of the club, stepping carefully into the crowded, dark hallway. Thick red and blue lights spun overhead. The air was warm, smelling faintly of sweet perfume, cold beer, and sweat. I kept my head down, slipping past two broad bouncers standing near the doorway. Neither of them gave me a second look. I leaned my back against the dark wall. My eyes scanned the flashing room, searching for one single face. And then I spotted him. Dominic was sitting on a high wooden stool near the main bar counter. The dim neon lights hit his broad shoulders. He was still wearing his dark leather biker jacket, looking relaxed and completely at home in the middle of the noise. His helmet rested on the counter beside a half-empty glass of dark liquor. I froze, my chest tightening as I watched him from the dark corner. A young dancer in a short sequined dress swayed over to his stool. She wrapped her arms around his neck, whispering something i

The black motorcycle hummed beneath me. The cold night air cut across the highway, whipping against the dark leather of my jacket. My hands held the handlebars with a light, easy grip. The engine made a low, steady rumble, vibrating through the frame of the bike as the yellow highway lights flashed past one by one. I glanced down at the round side mirror attached to my left grip. Far behind me on the long stretch of dark road were two bright yellow beams of light shining in the mirror of the bike. Not steadily, but enough. At first, I paid no attention to them. It was an open highway, so anyone could be going anywhere, and late-night drivers were a common thing. But after three miles, I flicked my blinker and made a smooth, sharp turn onto the quiet northern bypass road. And once again I looked into the mirror. There… The headlights behind me made the exact same turn, staying at a steady distance. I eased off the throttle just a fraction, letting my speed drop. But the dista

JulianThe humiliation from last night was still burning inside my chest like hot acid.I had spent the entire day in hell. First, I had to clean up that awful mess at Zee’s house last night. My body was weak, my hands were raw from scrubbing the floor, and I had to pay a private cleaning crew a ridiculous amount of money just to replace the mattress, sheets, and that stuff. After that, I spent endless hours sitting in the clinic with a cold needle in my arm, receiving fluids. The doctor told me it was severe food poisoning. But all that wasn't even the bone of contention. My problem was Zee.I couldn't believe Zee had treated me like that. Of everyone in the world who could have misunderstood me, the least person was supposed to be him.I mean, he was a medical professional. He knew how the human system fucking worked!Yet, he chose to shame me, mock my pain, and leave me alone in the dark while he went off with another man. When I finally stepped back inside the grand foyer of the p
