I head over and bury myself in work. My watch buzzes. It's 11:45. I quickly drive to pick up Theo.
He runs over to me. "Hey mommy!" He smiles and runs up to me and grips me in a hug.
"I made this for you mommy." He gives me a painted picture. It's of a little stick figure, and a bigger stick figure.
"Is this you and me?" I ask, he nods eagerly. "I love you, baby." I pick him up and buckle him into his chair.
"Alright. I bought you some coloring in books and crayons. We are going to mommy's work. You can sit at my desk, and you can watch Tom and Jerry. Is that alright baby?"
He nods eagerly and I hand him his books. We arrive at the office and I lead him hand in hand to my office. I brought in an extra chair for Theo. However, I find him turning around in my chair happily, colouring in with an orange crayon. I laugh.
"What are you coloring in baby?" I ask, holding a file, and filing pieces into it.
I stare at him open mouthed. "Like seriously?" He raises an eyebrow. "Yeah." He says, and looks at me pointedly, as if to say, "Well, duh." "Well then no." I say. His mouth drops ope . He laughs, and then looks at me. He stops laughing. "Wait ... You just declined my offer." He says, as of it sounds foreign to him. Like he doesn't quite understand. "Yeah." I smile. Nice one Gale. "Wait ... You're serious?" He looks taken aback, and the signature smirk which lines his features is replaced by a look of complete surprise. It is quite amusing, actually. He can't quite believe it can He? "Yup." I smile, innocently. "Well, it's getting super late, and I have my kid, so I better get going." I smile, and Aidan still looks at me puzzled, as if he can't quite place his fing
"HE LOVES you mommy!" Theo shouts, interrupting me from my thoughts. I force the tears away, and look in the review mirror. "You think so?" I ask, trying to smile at him in the review mirror. Seeing the little body in the backseat, makes me smile. I love this child so much. "I know so!" He jumps excitedly in the backseat. I laugh. "Should we put on some music?" I ask. Theo nods eagerly. I put on a song, and surprisingly, the little boy knows the whole song, off by heart. I laugh and roll my eyes. "What's for supper tonight?" Theo asks, stopping his singing. &nbs
The next morning, i drop Theo off. I have put on jeans and flip flops. He hasn't sent me the dresses, so I'm not wearing them until I have them. I drive to work. Everyone eyes my footwear. It might be unprofessional, but I'm going to enjoy my heel free time. I walk into my office, and Aidan is sitting on my desk smirking. Around him are a bunch of shopping bags. "Go on then." He smiles innocently. "Your bag for today." He says, handling me a bag. I don't even want to look inside. I groan and walk to the bathroom to change. I put out white Louis Vuitton stiletto heels. No! I groan and pit them onto my feet. I put my jeans and flip flops into the bag and walk out back into my office. Aidan is sitll sitting on the desk, looking through a file. He spins around at the sound of my heels. i almost tripped. Oops! Aidan's eyes widen. "You clean up nice, Armstrong." He says. I glare at him. He just shrugs it off. "The bet is ofic
I walked into Aidan’s office. He is sitting behind his desk, looking bored. I smirk. This is my chance to tempt him. “You want to kiss someone don’t you? Are you getting your player urges? It’s the withdrawals I’m telling you. Well, if you want to feel better, go ahead! I totally understand!” I tease interrupting him from his thoughts. I smile innocently, as he narrows his eyes. “Sweetheart, I bet that you
“Hey! Just what do you think you are doing? Driving my car?” I ask as I get into the passenger’s seat. “Where is your car?”“I believe that the guy should always drive around the girl. Not because she can’t drive or anything, but because I can hold her hand as my other hand is on the steering wheel.” He explains. I never saw Aidan like this. He’s so romantic. It’s so sweet actually. Really sweet. &nb
“Gale Armstrong has completed her degree in Medicine with a diploma. Congratulations on this great achievement and all your hard work! We will see you at the graduation ceremony on Wednesday Morning.” He reads. I squeal. I did it! I had done it! I had passed my degree! Aidan looks at me excitedly.“You did it, Armstrong!” He smiles, looking a little sad.“Hey, why are you sad?” I slap his arm. “I passed my degree! You can get rid of my smart ass!”“That’s the thing, Gale. I don’t want to get rid of your smart ass.” He says sincerely. My eyes widen.“Naah. I get on your nerves!” I brush away his confession.“You might, but I still don’t want to get rid of you!” He admits, grinning, “But only because I will have to hire another useless assistant who can’t do anything except sit there and look pretty.”“I did more than j
“The Tuba.” He answers.“Seriously? If you could play any instrument you would play the tuba?” I burst out laughing. Aidan joins me and nods.“This lasagna is seriously fantastic. I can’t remember the last time I have had home cooked lasagna.” He comments interrupting me. I look at him sadly. That’s sucks. While it might be great to have chefs at home, I don’t think I could stand not having my mom’s delicious chicken pie, or her delicious pancakes. I think there are lot benefits to growing up rich, but not having a home cooked meals is not one of them. I shake my head.“Okay. Last two questions.” He smiles, interrupting me from my thoughts.“Alright. You ask first.” I urge. Aidan shakes his head and takes another bite of the lasagna.“Nope. Ladies ask first.” He argue and I sigh.“You have to argue with everything don’t you? And that i
"The thought of settling down scares me." He pauses, "I guess doing, Er... what I do, it just makes me feel that I won't ever have to settle down. I still have a chance to live out my life and not have to be tied down by someone. Doing this, it makes sure that i don't meet her, that it won't ever go further than a one day thing, that I won't find her, and that I can stay free and not have to worry about whether she will leave me alone or hurt me. I can't do that to myself. I can't put myself through losing her. I don't want to take the risk, and plus, I will never be good enough for her, whoever she would be. She deserves so much better than me." He admits. I soften. I never knew he had that side. I thought he would come up with a stupid answer like "Its fun" or "I just haven't found the right one yet." I'm beginning to like him a lot more, that is until he added, "However, I am also Aidan Johnson. Player, smoking hot billionaire. I can get any girl I set my sight on. Why shouldn't?
