Nova looked through the window as the car drove into the compound. She wasn't wrong when she suspected earlier on that Bentley had the aura of a billionaire.

She concluded that he was a billionaire judging from the magnificence of the mansion that was before her.

Its grandeur was a sight to behold. The estate stood as a beacon of luxury and prestige. Its elegant facade boasted towering columns crafted from imported Italian marble. There was a beautiful landscape garden towards the other end, a shimmering pool, and so many other things that she couldn't take note of.

Though her parents were rich, it was obvious that Bentley was richer. Did all of this belong to him or did it belong to his family? She wanted to ask him directly but she dared not.

"Wow," she whispered as the car came to a stop at the driveway.

Lucas opened the door for her and she stepped out. Bentley followed suit, adjusting his suit as he walked straight towards the house.

Nova followed him in silence, still taking a good look at the luxuries surrounding her. Not until she sighted a statue.

It was the statue of an adult man spouting water from his penis into the fountain.

"Jesus," she muttered quietly.

Bentley couldn't help but let out an amused scoff when he heard her, but he quickly cleared his throat to mask his expression. He wasn't getting amused by an annoying woman he just met today.

"Can we go in now?" He asked.

"Yes. Of course," Nova took one last look at the statue before following Bentley inside.

As they went inside, Bentley offered her a seat and then took out his phone to make a quick call.

He was calling his personal assistant, Franco, informing him of the situation. They both communicated in Spanish and though Nova wasn't familiar with the language, there was a part of his sentence that she understood. As soon as he dropped the call, she didn't hesitate to point it out to him.

"Dama en apuros. I got that, you know. Did you just call me a damsel in distress? You're right though. I am a damsel in distress," she rolled her eyes before settling it away from him.

"Do you speak Spanish?" He asked.

"No. I don't know the language either. I just recognized that part. I wonder what you said about me."

"I didn't say anything about you. I only instructed him on what to do concerning you."

'He's so mean. Jesus.'

"Okay," she heaved and adjusted her dress.

"You must be tired and hungry. I'll show you to your room. Afterwards, my personal shopper will bring some clothes to you. How long will you be here for?" He inquired.

"I don't know. Maybe a few days. I don't like staying in hotels all by myself, if not I wouldn't be bothering you, and I have a house in California. That's pretty far from here so I'd need some time to get away from all this," while she explained her situation, Bentley noticed how she rubbed her arms.

Either she was feeling cold or anxious, he had no idea but he wasn't comfortable about it. He only hoped she wasn't going to die in his house due to her fragility.

He raised an eyebrow and threw her a question just when she wasn't looking. "Do you have Pneumonia or Asthma?"

"Hmm?"

"Never mind. I'll just show you to your room. Come with me," he said, leading the way upstairs with Nova trailing closely behind.

He led her to a guest room and stood by the door as she continued to look around.

"This is going to be your room for now. It might not be to your taste. It's not like I care but you don't have a choice."

'He's so rude. Makes me wanna punch him on the face right away. But I won't. He's helping me right now.'

"Thank you. I love it," she replied.

"I haven't had guests sleep over in a while. Female guests especially. So I'm gonna head back to my room and get you some of my clothes until your clothes arrive. I'll text my personal shopper while I'm at it."

"Thank you. I really appreciate your kind gestures."

He didn't respond to her, but opened the door and left.

"Not bad at all. Not bad," Nova muttered as she touched the vanity table and opened the drawers.

Then she felt the bed. It was soft and the sheets were white just like the walls and everything in the room with her.

Come to think of it, the living room was like that too.

Could it be that this young billionaire was obsessed with the colour white? Maybe not, because the suit he had on wasn't white in colour.

She wondered if his room looked like that too. A knock soon came on the door and Nova left everything she was doing and sat on the bed like the perfect guest that she was.

"I brought clothes. My clothes. You can change into any of them after showering," Bentley said coldly to her as he handed it to her.

"Thank you," she accepted them from him, their hands briefly brushing against each other.

Bentley hastily withdrew his hands from her. And again, he said nothing but left the room, shutting the door behind him.

"What's his problem?" She sighed before going through the clothes that she was holding.

She spread them out in the air. There were long T-shirts that could certainly serve as a short gown for her and there were shorts too.

"At least I have clothes to wear and I'm grateful for that," she dropped the clothes on the bed and was about to strip off her clothes when she remembered that the door was not locked.

It wasn't like she was uncomfortable leaving the door just closed. At least Bentley had proven that he wasn't someone that would just barge into a woman's room without knocking. The problem was, she had had enough surprises for the day and didn't want any more surprises. Whatever it would be.

She locked the door and then comfortably, she stripped out of her clothes and went straight into the bathroom.

Shortly after drying herself with a towel she found in the bathroom, she picked one of the long shirts and put it on and began to pack the rest when she heard a knock on the door.

It was obviously him.

She went to the door to open it for him since it was locked and she met him standing outside.

This time, he looked different. He'd obviously taken a shower and changed into a more comfortable outfit.

And goddamn, he was handsome as hell.

"Umm hi..." She said, not knowing what to say. But she was met with... well, a different kind of response.

He wasn't rude this time. He didn't say anything either, and he didn't have that look of disinterest that he normally had. Just a fine looking young man who was staring at a lady from head to toe.

Bentley stared because he was surprised to see how different she looked without the makeup, her hair flowing over her shoulders and how beautiful she looked wearing his clothes.

He didn't know what it was but there was just something about her.

Something.

Olivia held a single white rose, her fingers tightening around the stem as she gazed at the tombstone with an unreadable expression. Charles stood with his hands clasped in front of him, his jaw tight.Bentley took a slow breath, steadying himself before he spoke."I'm sorry I haven’t visited in a long time. Mom," he started, his voice quieter than usual. "I should have come sooner, but—" He exhaled, shaking his head slightly. "Life has been… busy. So much

A sharp pain throbbed at the back of Castiel’s skull as he stirred awake. His body felt stiff, his wrists sore. He tried to move, but the rough bite of rope around his wrists and ankles stopped him. The realization hit him in waves—he was tied up. Restrained. Trapped. His pulse spiked with panic, breath coming in sharp gasps as he struggled against the restraints. The chair beneath him creaked as he shifted, his muscles straining, but the ropes didn’t budge. His fingers clenched and unclenched, testing for any slack. None. He tried to turn his head, only to feel the weight of drowsiness still lingering, making his vision blur at the edges. Then, he noticed her.Ivy was moving around the room, placing candles on various surfaces, adjusting them with a strange sort of focus, as if she were setting up for something intimate. Romantic. The sound of his ragged breathing filled the silence before she spoke, her tone light, almost indifferent."You're finally awake," she mused, still not lo

Castiel’s head lolled to the side as the drugs fully took hold, his body sinking deeper into the couch. His vision blurred at the edges, and the room felt like it was tilting—no, spinning. Everything was moving too fast and too slow at the same time.He tried to speak, but the words didn’t come out right. “Wha… how—” He squinted at Ivy, his tongue thick in his mouth. “How you… you—” He struggled to string his thoughts together. “How… you here?”Ivy grinned, arms folded as she leaned against the door. "I followed you."His sluggish brain tried to process that. "Follo—followed?" His mouth barely formed the word.Ivy nodded, stepping closer. "Mmhmm. You weren’t exactly hard to track, Castiel. A man like you? In the middle of a scandal? Running away to lick your wounds?" She tilted her head. "Predictable."Castiel groaned, dragging a hand down his face. "No… naw, tha's—" He shook his head like that would clear the haze. "That's crazy."Ivy beamed. "Oh, you haven’t heard the crazy part yet

The music was loud, the bass vibrating through the ground as people danced under the open night sky. The scent of grilled jerk chicken and rum lingered in the warm air, mixing with the salt from the nearby ocean. Castiel sat comfortably on a wooden bench, a drink in his hand, surrounded by a group of stunning Jamaican women who had taken a particular liking to him. They were all laughing, the kind of laughter that came easy with alcohol and good company. One of the women, a curvy goddess with dark skin and long braids, playfully tapped his shoulder. "Mi seh, yuh haffi learn fi talk like wi, yuh cyaan jus' siddung suh an' look cute."Castiel smirked, tilting his head. "Alright, alright. Teach me somethin’."Another girl, her hair in tight curls and eyes filled with amusement, leaned in. "Say, 'Wah gwaan, mi deh yah chill.'""Wah… wah go-wan?" he attempted, his American accent butchering the smooth rhythm of the words. The women burst into laughter, one of them even clapping her hands.

Dominic Sinclair sat in his grand, high-rise office, the floor-to-ceiling windows behind him offering a stunning view of the city. The room itself exuded power—dark wood paneling, sleek leather chairs, and a massive desk cluttered with files he had no interest in going through. He sighed, rubbing his temples as he grudgingly flipped through another contract. “If one more damn thing goes wrong today, I swear—” he muttered under his breath, barely finishing the thought when there was a knock on his office door.Without looking up, he barked, “Come in.”His personal assistant, a sharp-suited young man named Ethan, stepped inside, looking slightly uneasy. “Sir, Jeffrey and Adelaide Carnegie are here to see you.”Dominic’s eyes snapped up, his fingers pausing mid-flip on the document he was barely reading. He stared at Ethan, his expression unreadable at first, then filled with unmistakable irritation.“Do they have an appointment?” he asked, his voice cool.“No, sir.”Dominic’s jaw ticked
