Chapter Ten

"You must be very successful then." May said, a little impressed. She tried to hide it but it was probably obvious. "What else have you invested in?"

"Why don't we get a coffee and I'll tell you." Andrew suggested. "Would that be okay?"

May was tempted. She didn't know why but there was something about Andrew that drew her in. But she couldn't let herself be weak to emotions now. She gestured to her brother and daughter. "I'm sorry I have a family I can't really go drink coffee and leave them."

"It's okay." Andrew nodded. "I get it. Family is important. Why don't you and your brother come over to my house? I'll make coffee and we can all sit and chat. I'll order pizza or something. I don't mind your daughter being there. I like kids."

May hesitated. "I don't know..."

"I promise I'm not going to bite." Andrew said. "I'm not going to be weird. I just want to get to know you. I understand if you're uncomfortable with the idea. It's fine."

This should have been where May ran. As always
