Andrew after a few moments of doubting himself and the realness of the wish, the old woman and the family he had seen he walked out of the private jet he had flew in to the mansion he would spend his Christmas in. The mansion he had already been in but now since things seemed to have go on reverse he had to come back to it now.
"Um... Boss man". Clive the driver of Andrew's cars stopped Andrew from going into his car. "What?" Andrew asked him a little annoyed. He was ready to go see his house so he could see what he was going to do with his life now. He wanted to start with the bet immediately so he could have more time to kill afterwards. "Well sir." Clive smiled apologetically looking at Andrew. "I don't know how to say this because it might make you mad." "Well it can't be not important since you've stopped me right from getting into my car and you are stalling me from going home. " " Sorry sir." Clive licked his lips as if thinking how to tell Andrew what was on his mind."Well, it's just that... your mansion isn't there." Clive finally blurted out the reason for stopping Andrew from getting in his car. "What?" Andrew said looking at him like he was crazy. "Are you joking with me right now?" "I wish I was but no, I'm not." Clive replied, his voice now even lower than before. "What do you mean the mansion isn't there?" Andrew asked confused. He had just been there a few hours ago. He had just been there when he had made that stupid deal with the lady in white."I don't know sir". Clive shrugged also looking confused about the whole situation. "I got a call from the maid that usually goes to clean the house when you're not there she said the house seems as if it has vanished. It isn't there anymore." Andrew blinked not understanding what was happening. " Huh?" "Sorry sir." "Take me to my house right now. Because you must be joking. You're joking in fact. This is a joke."Clive looked at Andrew with sympathy. "I'm not joking I swear." "What?" Andrew was now completely confused. "Take me to my house." "I'll take you there." Clive said turning around and walking to the door of the car. "But I just want you to be prepared that what I'm saying is true." "I just don't get it." Andrew said as he got into the car. "The house has been there for years. It's just impossible for it to be gone. Even if someone bought it, there would still be remains of it. There would have been a notification. My father wouldn't just sell my house like that even if he can do rush things. No Clive you've outdone yourself today though. Your silliness is too much really."Clive couldn't help but smile. "I'm serious." He said not even trying to hide his amusement at the situation. "I'm telling the truth. It's not that I wouldn't want you to have your house there but that's not the situation right now." "And you're sure you're not joking?" Andrew asked again still thinking that Clive was just doing this to make him panic. "Yes I'm sure." "Let's go then. " Andrew said leaning back on his seat. "I'm not going to believe it until I see it."Clive nodded with a smile . " Well okay then boss man you'll see that your driver Clive never lies unless." This intrigued Andrew who raised his eyebrow. "Unless what?""Unless it's really really important like saving your life or something." Clive winked at Andrew with a grin. "Now you're just crazy." Andrew shook his head at his driver. "You really are something else." "Thank you thank you." Clive said with a flourish. "I'm here to provide entertainment as well as being a fantastic driver." Andrew couldn't help but chuckle. "Sure you are." "I am! You should appreciate me." Clive said mock pouting.Andrew sat there on the backseat of his car. Realizing something. Something that he hadn't realized before. Clive was quite a funny guy. Why couldn't he see this before? Why couldn't he see that he had someone to talk to all along. "Where do you come from Clive?" Clive with a confused expression looked at his boss on the car's mirror. "Sir?" "I mean which part of the country do you originate from? You've been with me for seven years correct?" " Twelve". Clive corrected with a smirk. "And I still don't know anything about you.""Ah well that's because you're usually too focused on work." Clive said lightly. "You've never really asked me to share more about myself." "That's not true. " Andrew said defensively. "I just don't know if you'd want to share." "Well I'd love to share. As long as you're interested to know." Clive said looking a bit eager. "So I come from the north part of the country. A small town you may not have even heard of." "Try me." Andrew said with a grin. "I'm curious. Let's talk about this small town you come from." Clive grinned. " Well it's a beautiful place. Filled with beautiful treasures. I love home.""Home?" Andrew repeated with curiosity. "Why not go home then?" "Well I'm home when I'm working." Clive said with a grin. "I'm home with you." Andrew smiled at that. "How sweet." He said with a chuckle. "Do you really consider this home though?" "Well not exactly home. But it's as close to home as it gets." Clive said looking contemplative. "You're more like family to me." "That's... heartwarming." Andrew said chuckling again. "You're like a brother to me."As Andrew thought about it. His own twin brother wasn't even close to him as his driver. In fact Andrew didn't even know where Micheal was or in what condition. Neither did he really care. His family was just there for blood relation and business related business otherwise they didn't need each other."That's so sad." Clive said suddenly. "Family is important." "I have other important people in my life." Andrew said with a smile. "I have you, my assistants and my right hand man. They're close to me. Don't worry I have a family. Just not the traditional kind." "Well that's true I guess." Clive said with a sigh. "I'm glad I'm part of your family. In the non traditional sense." "Yeah me too." Andrew said with a chuckle. "Because you really make my life much easier. And you have always been a little odd but that's okay I guess.""Hey I'm not that odd." Clive said sounding a little affronted. "Or at least not that much more odd than you." "Okay that's a lie." Andrew said with a roll of
This was the reason why Clive had come up with the ridiculous idea of telling him that his house had vanished. Because he must have known his parents were here. Why didn't he just tell Andrew then? Andrew straightened himself. "Parents what are you both doing here? In my house?""You are my son." His father said looking at him like he couldn't believe what he was hearing. "We're here because we heard from your assistant what you were thinking of doing. And we've come to stop you from making such a foolish decision. You're going to have a family of your own. The normal way." "This has to stop." His mother put in. "You need to find a woman that you love. Not just go out and buy a family. It doesn't work like that." "I do love someone." Andrew said feeling a little ashamed at how he had said that as if it felt unnatural."You do?" His parents asked at the same time. Shocked as much as Clive was too who had felt his hand being grabbed by Andrew tightly. "I love him!" "What?" His pare
"We just want to understand." His father said in a calm tone. "We want to understand why you feel the need to keep things from us. If you love a driver, poor one that you pay the salary too... That's all fine and good that's your life but why can't you tell us your parents? You know your brother is so different! He yells everything to us without us even asking. What makes you different? Why do you isolate yourself from us?"Andrew looked at his father and then his mother. They both had expressions on their faces that were a mix of concern and confusion. It was obvious that they truly cared about him and that they were trying to understand why he felt the need to hide things from them. "I never wanted to keep things from you." Andrew said slowly. "I was just scared that you wouldn't understand me or accept me." "Why would we not accept you?" His mother asked with a frown. "You're our son. We will love you no matter what." "I just... I guess I just I don't really isolate myself from
"You guys have no faith in me." The man who was apparently doctor Michael said with a small chuckle. "I am a doctor after all." "Doctor Michael!" Moses exclaimed. "What are you doing?!" "What else does it look like I'm doing? I'm taking this patient to the hospital. Now you guys don't have to worry anymore." Moses nodded but quickly didn't like the idea. " But doc the nearest hospital is far from here. Let us take you guys in our car." "No need." The man who supposedly doctor Michael said. " I have car here. Trust me she'll be alright."With that doctor Michael walked away with the unconscious woman. Alex and Moses watched him go, unsure of what to do. Should they just go on with their day? Should they follow him to make sure he really was who he said he was? They were left standing there as he disappeared from view. "What just happened?" Alex asked. "I'm not sure." Moses replied. "But it seemed like everything was going to be alright." "What if he wasn't really doctor Michael?
Andrew sat there in the waiting room thinking about what his brother had said. Was he scared? Was he afraid of seeing the woman? Why did he feel like he had to see her? Why did he feel like he had to help her? What was it that made him feel so responsible for her? He stood up and made up his mind. He had to go see her. "I'm going in." He told his brother. "I'll call you afterwards.""Good luck". His brother said before he ended the call.Andrew made his way to the receptionist. "Hi." He said trying to look composed. "I'd like to visit the woman who was brought in here a few minutes ago." The receptionist gave him a small smile. "Are you a relative?" She asked politely. "No." Andrew said a little embarrassed. "I just found her on the road and I feel responsible for her." The receptionist considered this. "I can't give you any information on her." Andrew sighed. "I know that. But can I visit her?""I don't think so sir. She was just admitted. I think the doctors still need more ti
May June looked at the window of the small apartment she had. She didn't know what the future was for her and little family right now. But she knew that the decision she had made was the right one. Since he had found them here. A place she had thought would be their hiding place forever. June had to find another hiding place now. "Are you serious about this June?" Mason asked for the fifteenth time that day. "I mean we could still fight this while we're here. We will win. Who does he think he is anyway? He's just a criminal that thinks he's mighty!" " Shhh!" May hushed quickly. She didn't want Lady to be woken up by anything. Especially now that this was about her daughter's father. " I told you to not talk like that. We shouldn't speak ill about anyone. Even him." Mason groaned. Muttering under his breath. " Why do we have to leave though because of him. Why is it always us huh? Can't it be someone else that's in this problem?"May thought about that. " Well I remember someone ca
"You must be very successful then." May said, a little impressed. She tried to hide it but it was probably obvious. "What else have you invested in?" "Why don't we get a coffee and I'll tell you." Andrew suggested. "Would that be okay?"May was tempted. She didn't know why but there was something about Andrew that drew her in. But she couldn't let herself be weak to emotions now. She gestured to her brother and daughter. "I'm sorry I have a family I can't really go drink coffee and leave them.""It's okay." Andrew nodded. "I get it. Family is important. Why don't you and your brother come over to my house? I'll make coffee and we can all sit and chat. I'll order pizza or something. I don't mind your daughter being there. I like kids." May hesitated. "I don't know..." "I promise I'm not going to bite." Andrew said. "I'm not going to be weird. I just want to get to know you. I understand if you're uncomfortable with the idea. It's fine."This should have been where May ran. As always
"I'm doing great." Andrew said, turning his attention back to May. "And you look stunning." "Thank you." May said, feeling her cheeks turn red. "So, um... where are we going to have lunch?"Andrew smiled gesturing to the living room. "I never actually use it. But I heard pizza goes good with some tv.""That sounds great!" May said, relieved that they would be eating in a casual setting. "I'm starving." "I'm starving too." Mason said. "And I've been craving pizza all day." "Then we're in luck!" Andrew said, leading them to the living room. "I've got pizza from three different places." "Three different places?!" Mason asked, sounding excited. "What kind of pizza did you get?" "I got one that's just cheese and pepperoni, a veggie pizza and one that's really gourmet." Andrew explained feeling a bit proud of himself as he saw Mason's reactions to what he was saying."Gourmet?" Mason asked, intrigued. "That sounds fancy. And what about the drinks? Are we having wine?" "We can if you w
