Chapter 31

Brielle's POV

4 Years Ago

I stepped into what used to be my parents home and threw my bag onto the counter. I had a long early shift and as much as Mr. Burkley didn't want me to stay extra, I had to. I need the hours and I couldn't do without them. My parents stopped paying the bills of the house the second I turned 18, which was last month and now they're just piling up. I've been thinking of moving to a smaller place and selling this house since it's obvious they don't want it anymore and it gets way to lonely at times.

I took a seat on my crying chair which was in living room and contemplated if I felt like letting go right now. This chair used to be Eugene's favorite before he left to go overseas. My parents wanted to get rid of it but I could never let them. I still roam around his room hoping I would open the door and to find him sitting on the bed... sadly, it never happens.

I cry too much and it gets to the point where my heart feels so heavy but I don't have any tears left. B
