31. Regaining the Position

It’s noon now. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around the room. The surroundings seem unfamiliar to me. It wasn’t my room from EJ Mansion. Then it stuck in my mind. We were actually in one of Mr. Johnson’s penthouses. He has been extremely busy and working day and night to increase the share price. Being his personal assistant, I had to work as well along with him.

Apparently, we’re staying here in his penthouse because he had an urgent meeting last night which ended really late. To add to that, it was snowing too. So, he decided to land up here as it was nearly impossible to drive to his mansion at that hour in that odd weather. I had to accompany him here as well.

When we got in here, everything was already arranged as per his instruction to the caretaker and I was certainly not surprised by this. He directly retired to his room asking the caretaker to show me another room. I was again not surprised by this act because for the past few days, he was all into himself. Once this th
