Chapter 30

Caleb’s office was small. It had a desk full of documents, a computer and stationery holders. While against the walls, the filing cabinets of the precinct were located. He sighed, strolled into his office, and sat down at the desk. The smell of paper filled the air.

It wasn’t the good kind like when you smell a brand new book, but the kind that smelled dusty and like the documents had been stashed for decades untouched. Caleb didn’t like the smell, but he was used to it at this point. This had been his office for 9 years now.

The witness is Uluthando Manyoni, aged 48. The intake of flunitrazepam was found. No fingerprints were identified on the weapon. The footprints are size 11 (left) and 12 (right). Shoes were found in the rubbish bin near the crime scene and appear to be brand new. The identity of the suspect is well hidden from the camera, and no other evidence was found.
