Chapter 14

Natalie’s POV

“Do you need my help with anything Mrs. Knight?” Maria asked me.

I turned around to look at her who is standing behind me at a little distance.

“Please call me Natalie, Maria. This is the hundredth time I am telling you this” I said with a fake scowl on my face causing her to chuckle lightly at my words.

“Oh! Sorry. I forget about it every time. I will pay attention next time, Mrs. Kni… I mean Natalie” she said and I smiled at her.

Today, I spent my whole day with Maria as she explained everything about this house and Cyrus to me. So that I can perform my duty of doing all of his chores without any trouble.

Just in a span of a day I got really comfortable around her. She is just like Ana. The only person I am missing from Edwin’s house is Ana.

But Maria is making me feel less lonely today. And I enjoyed my time with her. She is a nice woman with great sense of humour.

At first, she was feeling hesitant and was being all professional and polite in front of me.
