"Mason, why don't we give Mira and her sisters a moment."

"Yes, Mason." Vanessa taunts.

Mason turns cold, dark eyes on her.

"Do not push me, Miss Rodriguez."

Vanessa opens her mouth to speak but I grab her arm and shake my head. Her eyes widen in surprise. I am usually the one who loves arguments and confrontations, but I know a fight with Mason Lachlan is one we will never win.

Damon gets to his feet and tucks both hands in the pockets of his trench coat. I hear Anna's soft gasp and stiffle a smile. Yes, Mason Lachlan's bestfriend is one gorgeous daredevil.

He isn't looking at Anna though. His expressive aqua eyes are trained firmly on Vanessa. She folds her arms and stares back at him. The sparks flying between them is quite blinding.

My, my, my, Vanessa Rodriguez. Frolicking with a hunk from the rival side. How rude. I love it.

Vanessa and I have been through a lot together. If Damon is her happily ever after, I will stop at nothing to make sure they're together.
