23. Dinner time

Beatrice finished her bath. Her chest was pounding because of what Mateo did in the bathroom. She would almost give in if she went back to her senses. She couldn’t imagine what would happen if she forgot herself. That was the last thing she would do.

She was combing her hair when she heard a knock on the door. Beatrice immediately felt nervous and slightly panicked. But she was relieved when she saw who was behind the door. It was Jen.

“Madam, Master Bruce is now asking you for dinner.”

“Dinner? He’s still here?”

“Yes, Madam.”

Beatrice took a deep breath. How could she possibly face her after their kiss? It was not their first time. But that was the most intimate kiss they’ve shared. But if she doesn't go down, it will just anger him more.
