10. Getting ready

WATSON MANSION

When Eleanor returned home, she was greeted by a bustling scene in the living room. A swarm of 10 to 15 people filled the space, each busy with various decorations and arrangements under the direction of her father. Eleanor couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the sudden chaos that had taken over her once peaceful abode.

"The bride comes," someone chirped from across the room, drawing attention to Eleanor's entrance. A tall, young girl with a vibrant energy rushed over to her, her attire flaunting her bare legs in a tight frock. "Hello, Miss Watson," she exclaimed, extending her hand for Eleanor to shake. "I'm Laura, your wedding planner."

Eleanor's eyebrows shot up in surprise. A wedding planner? She couldn't believe her ears. What need did she have for a wedding planner when she had no desire to get married in the first place?

"Dad," Eleanor groaned, turning to her father with a mix of frustration and confusion. "What is all this?"
