" I sent the money to him already, My boss was kind enough to give me the money "I said happily later at night when we got to the room and my mom smiled but I knew it's not genuine.

" Don't you think your boss has something for you?, Maybe he's in love with you or what do you think? "She asked and I scoffed.

" If he's in love with me, Everyone knows it won't work because he won't afford to stain his white linen or destroy his reputation because he's in love with me, Mom, I'm not ready to think about that "

" And what if he asks you for se*x? "She asked and my throat dried up.

Why will he ask me that?

I'm not attractive.

" If it pleases me, I will warm his bed or I might turn him down, I'm not a baby"I shrugged even though I know I won't open my legs for him.

I stared at my mom and I knew she's very scared, About me and my life.

Come to think of it, If anything happens between I and Maynard, It won't be funny and it will never end well.

I don't want to have anything to do with him either but he's making things hard for me.

Sometimes, he will hug me or grab my waist or peck me.

Is that how they treat secretaries?

The Next Morning.....

I got to the office quite early, Maynard hasn't arrived yet, After putting my name down and using my employment card on the detecting device, I walked to the receptionist seat and took my seat waiting for Maynard to open the door.

Thank God Chloe isn't the one on duty.

" Hey, Are you the new secretary? "A young lady sitting on the receptionist seat walked up to me and I nodded.

She's so pretty and has a small stature, I wish I can be as pretty as her, But now, I look so pale.

Oh God!, I detests everything about me.

" Yes, is there a problem ma'am? "I asked and she nodded.

" Don't call me ma'am, I'm just twenty-two, And I'm the new secretary "She said softly and my eyes widened.

" New secretary?, I thought you're the one on duty? "I asked in surprise and she laughed.

" The former secretary got sacked yesterday so I was lucky to get the job, My name is Marlowe "

Wow!, So Chloe has been sacked?

" Mine is Magnoila, Nice meeting you "I replied with a smile and we shook hands together.

" I saw the boss yesterday and I must say, He's so cute and adorable, His full hair, Eye lashes and cute face, He has a big manly figure and I wished in the secretary, You're so lucky "she said fanning herself dramatically and I laughed.

" We are not in any romantic relationship, I started work here four days ago, I'm also new, And he's a workaholic so I don't think he have time for ladies "I explained and she nodded slowly.

Just after that, Maynard arrived looking so cold and scary, What's wrong with him?

His eyes softened a bit immediately he set his eyes on me and I bowed.

" Good morning sir "we greeted together and he nodded.d

I collected the bag from Mr. Mateo before walking to the office together with him.

" You came early today "He said softly as we walk into the office and I only nodded.

" Yes, I woke up early "I answered perfunctorily and he shot me a stare.

Sorry, Maynard, I'm no longer the Magnolia you knew, Circumstances made me realized that I'm only your worker, Nothing else.

We got to the office and I dropped the bag on the table.

" I will prepare you coffee now " I said softly and rushed out of the office.

I took the coffee to his office and met him watching TV, the news to be precise.

He took off his jacket, Left with his shirt and I stopped him.

He turned to me immediately and I pressed my lips together, Feeling so nervous.

Gosh!, What did I just do?

But it's for the best, I have no choice.

I took a deep breath before speaking out.

" I think you should let me leave the office before taking off your jackets, It's not really professional for me to watch you do all this "I stuttered and he chuckled.

" Is there a problem with me putting off my jackets?, By the way, You've been acting funny this morning, Is there a problem or anything bothering you? "He asked quietly and I shook my head.

" There's nothing bothering you, And if there's anything bothering me, It should be my problem "I said touching my chest and he nodded.

" Okay, Drop the coffee and leave my office "He said coldly and I nodded before dropping it.

I rushed out of the office before releasing the breath I with held in me.

" Why's she acting funny and clumsy? "I asked loudly immediately she left and scratched my head.

Can this day get any better at all?

Firstly, Dad coming to my house to warm me about his darling wife which got me so angry, Then, Magnolia avoiding me.

I hissed loudly and picked the laptop, I'm not taking that coffee.

She returned the file I asked her to work on, I collected it from her.

" Take the coffee away, I'm not drinking it "I mumbled and she scoffed.

" But it's in your daily routine to take coffee? "She protested and I gawp at her.

" It's your daily routine to arrange my shirt anytime I get to the office as well "

" But..., coffee making is stressful, You shouldn't have waste it "She grumbled and I felt guilty immediately.

Magnolia went to take the coffee and drag her legs out of the room.

CLOSING TIME~

I packed my files in the briefcase, Then, She came into the office with her small bag,hung across her shoulder, Making her boobs part into two and I sighed. 

" I'm ready to go "She mumbled and helped me pack the files.

I grabbed her hand immediately and pin them to the wall.

I could feel her throat drying up and her chest racing so fast.

I stared at her deeply into the eyes and her lips trembled.

Trying as much as possible not to stare at me directly in my eyes.

" Why are you avoiding me, Magnolia? "
