“What do you mean?” Aries narrowed his eyes at Alfred and the latter chuckled.

“I was playing this game way before you were even born! Did you think I opened up all my cards to you?” Alfred lifted an eyebrow expertly. “Focus on the well-designed speech, boy! Maybe it’s the last time you’re listening to her beautiful voice.”

“Every girl says her dad is a king. But my father was an angel!” Veronica had a proud smile. “All his life he thought about the betterment of his people. His business was to bring a smile to the face. Every day, he’d venture out to do at least one good deed!”

“Yet he had the most brutal death!” Alfred whispered into Aries’s ear. “Guess Jesus forgot to count his good deeds.” He sneered.

Veronica drew a deep breath. It was the first time she could openly talk about her father, and she had so many things to tell everyone. “Today….” Before she could start, all the phones in the hall started pinging, and she watched people taking out their phones.
