An hour later, Sarah still wasn't present. Ray leaned closer to my ears and whispered.

"Did something happen between you two?"

I remained silent, not giving a reply to his question. I was secretly worried as well, but I didn't want to believe she wasn't going to make it today.

Clark was seated in the first row, and every second he kept looking back as well. From the back seat, I could see Sarah's parents, shamelessly seated.
