Clark took his seat close to Mr Romero as well, grinning from ears to ears. Underneath the table, my hands were tightened into fist as a result of my rage.

3 hours later, the meeting came to an end. Before anyone else, I was the first to stand up on my feet and trail Mr Romero outside since he had announced earlier that he had someplace important to be.

"Excuse me." I said, standing at the entrance of the elevator where it all started.

He turned back and smiled at me, making me return the smile this time around.

"Sincerely sorry for earlier today. You could have informed me who you were." I said, politely in a way I had never before.

He tucked his hands into his pocket, and took just one step closer to me.

"And what? You wouldn't have been so free with me just like you were earlier." He replied.

I smiled again, admiring him secretly.

"Anyway, thank you for making it this far for us Mr Romero. We hope to hear from you soon enough." I said, outstretching my hands for a handshake.
