I clearly heard what the doctor said to Clark in my half awoken state. Even though my eyes were shut, I was still conscious, but had them closed because I didn't want to see Clark's face.

"Your wife had a miscarriage, and she lost the baby as a result of it."

My tears fell off my eyes, rolling down my cheek when I heard her and I opened my eyes immediately.

"Can you give us a minute doctor, I need to talk to my wife." Clark requested.
