Chapter Six

Fire

~Isabelle's POV~

We took a slow but steady step to the entrance of the movie room. I looked over at Noah's expressionless cold face yet handsome.

"Where are we going?" I asked, breaking the tension that was between us, probably lost in our thoughts. The movie entails more of my encounter with Noah showing up at my weakest point and struggle.

I thought I had lost the chance to become popular with my career but here I met the handsome Greek God CEO coming to my aid like a knight in shining armour.

The movie was a kdrama titled My Demon though we didn't get to watch the movie finish since it was already late.

I didn't think I would focus on the movie more to the extent of being stuck in my seat not ready to go as they disclosed the end of the movie's day.

"Hey, you are zoning out again". Noah called out interrupting me from my reverie.

"Oooh, sorry about that" I apologized glancing at him.

"Are you still afraid?" He questioned with a creased brow clenching his fists.

"Not actually, I was thinking about the movie, it was quite interesting and piqued my interest to finish the movie and where it ends ". I explained with a monotone voice.

"Same here though I never liked watching movies and Korean movies irritate me to be honest----". He divulged, making me widen my eyes in shock.

"I think this movie is relatable anyway" He added, casting a dismissive glance at me.

"I asked you a question but you seem out of space, I think we should go to my house to discuss the contract fully". He said, halting and staring at me for approval.

"Why can't we just discuss it in a restaurant". I asked with a creased brow slightly rubbing my stomach.

"I guessed I would have loved to do as you pleased but we have to discuss the contract at my place, I can't risk the media bombarding us with questions and ruining the moment". He said, walking ahead and I was trailing behind him to catch up with him.

"Okay," I nodded in an affirmative response, but deep down I knew I should have persuaded him cause I was hungry. Going to the restaurant meant free food for me, I sighed heavily at the thought.

"I will have my butler cook something for you if we get back, you know". He glanced at me as the corner of his mouth twitched.

"Oooh--- thanks". I said I was embarrassed by the situation. Is it really obvious that I was hungry? He might have been thinking I am a foodie. I palmed my face giggling, to hell with what he thinks, as long as I eat and I am satisfied.

We made our way into the underground basement of the movie theater, I glanced at him waiting for him to open the car door for me, he moved to the driver's seat putting on his seatbelt.

I scoffed at opening the door and getting in, what was I expecting before? I frowned at my thoughts of him being a gentleman.

We arrived at his place, I came down from the car not waiting for him. His house is a mansion, my jaw dropped in awe. Though I have been here before, I wasn't conscious of the environment.

He nudged at me taking a big strides to the entrance, I trailed behind him still fascinated by the expensive decor of the house.

The expansive mansion was a stunning sight to behold, with its towering columns, sweeping staircase, and numerous balconies overlooking the rolling hills. The ostentatious mansion’s garish gold-plated fixtures, neon-lit fountains, and over-the-top interior design screamed of tackiness and excess, rather than sophistication and refinement.

Compared to the other, sleek and sophisticated mansions on the street, this one stood out ostentatiously with the antique chandelier, and the opulent mansion’s decadent decor, from the imported marble floors and walls to the ornate hand-carved woodwork.

Noah stood with his hands akimbo staring at me with that expressionless cold face yet again.

"Are you coming or not?" He questioned with a furrowed brow clearing his throat to catch my attention leaning by the hand rails.

"Yeah----" I answered, chuckling and my face flushed from the embarrassment, though I had been to an extravagant mansion that just seemed out of the world.

"You have a whole lot of time to check it out later, moreover it is going to be your home so let's get you something to eat first" He disclosed with his hand in his pocket taking heavy steps toward me and leaning in closer.

This man is a freaking Greek God, I could have sworn he was one in his past life with a perfectly defined sculptured jawline, thin pink pouty lips, the ocean deep blue eyes one could drown into for long without blinking an eye, he carried himself with royalty like a prince born underworld.

"Isabelle, Isabelle" He called out my name as I was lost in my reverie checking him out, I love the way my name rolls out on his tongue.

"Yes----" my voice even betrayed me, a lump gathered in my throat, and I had difficulty swallowing it, choking me as I coughed out fervently.

"You okay?, James---" I heard him calling out, a man dashed at us with a glass of water offering it to me as I downed it in a gulp.

"Show her around" He ordered in his deep husky voice.

The green-eyed man and chestnut brown hair who seemed to be in his mid-forties gestured to me and led the way to the luxurious dining room.

I sat down at the large dining table in awe at the decor of the dining room, two different ladies were dressed in a black midi knee-length skirt, a double-breasted long-sleeved white shirt, and a black bow tie with black heels.

They came out from a room I assumed to be the kitchen, they placed the dishes on the long table which could occupy twenty people. My mouth watered seeing different dishes laid down on the enormous table.

I widened my eyes and blinked my eyelashes as the ladies returned with different dishes.

"Wait ma'am, is anyone joining me?" I questioned the lady who came in just in time, narrowing my eyes to the enormous dishes on the table.

"No, Miss." She said with a smile clarifying my curiosity.

I beamed with smiles grinning from ear to ear. I started ravaging the dishes one after the other till I was satisfied with no space left in my stomach, I chuckled at the thoughts. I wiped the corner of my mouth with the napkin standing up with the dish in my hands.

"Ma'am, you aren't supposed to do that" The green-eyed man interjected me signaling to the lady before who collected it from my hands.

I muttered an inaudible thanks to her taking a big strides towards the stairs,

"What would Noah be doing, "I thought as my mind drifted off to him, I guessed I was occupied in satisfying my stomach not to have asked where he was not joining me with the feast.

I looked around stumbling and peeking into any room my legs could lead me to, I am the curious type so I ought to feed my eyes.

I stumbled upon a room peeking in as usual, I sucked in a deep breath and pushed the door wide open, entering the room my jaws dropped, and my eyes widened at the sight before me.

I pressed my palms lightly against my cheeks, "Damn!!!" It came out of my mouth as my hands flew to my mouth covering it and hiding my face.
