Chapter thirty eight.

Lisa was seriously exhausted. Mind, spirit and soul.

She quickly changed out of her sweaty and dirty work clothes and took a short bath. With no appetite she was ready to turn in for bed when the sound of someone knocking on the door

Huh....who is it so late?

Throwing off the towel wrapped around her still damp hair, she marched out her room to get the door.

What the..."How are you guys here?"

She looked at the three ladies standing in front of her with wide eyes.

"What other reason is there if not to see you?" M.s Sarah was the first to speak up.

"Aren't you going to invite us in?" Carol raised a brow and Lisa snapped out of it, stepping aside.

"Right...please come in." She glanced around frantically, thankful that tidied the house before leaving for work in the morning.

The living room was already very small and with the addition of three people it became cramped.

Lisa let her guests have the sofa while she stood. It was a bit awkward.
