Edward’s POV~

Silence invaded the dining hall. My eyes rolled to Grandfather, but he was gazing at John.

“Johnathan? Is there anything you must explain?”

Everyone’s attention was drawn to John, who had forgotten all about his pain.

“Grandfather, I didn’t get what you meant. What business can I have with my sister-in-law?”

This *ssh*le! I saw how he had been looking at Elenore. I was sick of them interacting right across my sight.

“Did you hurt her?”

Mr. Johnson asked again.

“Of course not! I bumped into her accidentally!”

He shook his head and turned to Elenore. “Forgive us, daughter. My sons like to fool around.”

He frowned and faced me. The poor man had no idea how nasty these two were.

“Don’t bother this daughter with someone else’s mistake. I hate your obsession.”

“Don’t mind me, please.” I babbled, as I did not want him to suffer more than this.

My grandfather pouted, spun around, and trailed off. “Take my daughter to the farm and pick some strawberries for her. I planted them.”
