The Battle

English is my second language so, if there is any grammar mistake please ignore it.

 And my name is Mizuki. I also have something to add in this deal of yours. What Is it that you want to add? I just want to add a tiny detail. If I win there will be no social statuses in this class. Everyone will be called by their names and treated the same way as you want to treat yourself. Agreed?

Fine by me. Besides I never wanted to be treated like a prince here so even if you lose this stupid social stuff will be over anyway.

Well then, the deal's done. We Shook our hands. As soon as we Shaked the teacher came into the class. She was our homeroom teacher and not being rude but she had a scary aura going around. She threw the papers on the table which were in her hands and told us to sit on our seats. Everyone did as she told us to do because no one had a choice she looked like he would murder us if we didn’t listen to her. My name is Harmony and I will be your in charge entire the whole course.  (After taking our roll call) okay everyone out of the class this instant. What? Is this lady sane? Everyone was looking in her direction with confusion.

 What? Didn’t you all hear me? I said get out. We are going to the Battle Arena.

Some other kid from my class finally said which basically everyone was thinking about. But it is our first class. Won’t you teach us the basics?

 Aren’t you all here to become the protectors of this kingdom? I’m going to say this only once. I’m not going to treat you nicely. The training which you all will get in this class will be tough there will be no baby or easy stuff if you can’t take it then you are removed from my class permanently which means you are also removed from this school. Also, those who are unable to keep up with the training will be removed as well. So, get on your feet and start moving towards the arena.

After hearing what she said the only thing which came to my mind was,” Does everybody who comes has some psychotic problem? But I guess we have to do whatever she tells us to do otherwise we will be removed from this school. And I’m pretty sure no one wants to be removed after passing that horrible entry test. When we all reached the arena, I noticed that Miss Harmony was smirking like a devil.

 Today you all will be battling here with each other and those who are unable to land even a single blow within the limited time of 30 minutes towards the opponent will get zero marks. If someone gets three zeros consecutively will be removed from my class and be demoted to the last rank class which you all know is a class for nobody’s since their position in the military is almost non-existent. So, give your everything to this battle, and killing each other is not allowed.

Yup! She is definitely insane. If she was going to demote us to the last rank class based on this battle then why did they took the entry test? And telling us not to kill each other but also saying give our everything. Well, I shouldn’t care about such stuff because I’m going to win anyway.

 Hey! Mizuki let's make this battle our deals playground. Lorain also agrees with it. Since you both are selected as opponents.

“Ok. I’m fine with it. The sooner we resolve this matter the better. Our turn is in the last so you will have to wait at least that much”.

 The battle started with Jones vs Porsha. Their battle was quick because Porsha’s ability was to keep people frozen at one place for 60 seconds which was not a lot of time and besides that Jones's ability was the ruler. He could control earth at will so, even if he was frozen for 60 seconds, he could still move the ground. Battles continued like this and there was one winner after another same was with the losing side.

 The second last battle began and it was between Kei and Ronesme. Kei’s ability was teleportation while Ronesme had chlorokinesis in which she could control Plants at will. Their battle was quite intense no one was giving up. Kei teleported himself near Ronesme and landed a blow right at Ronesme’s neck to knock her out. But before the blow could reach her neck, she stopped it with a thick veil and wound it around Kei’s hand, and tried to smash him on the ground but Kei teleported again. This continued for a long time and finally, time ended. Since no one was able to land a clear blow at each other so they tied and no one was demoted.

I have to admit that every battle was intense and super interesting. Every power was unique on its own. Despite this school’s staff being insane so much talent come here and now I’m one of them.

Finally, my turn came. It almost felt like everyone was waiting for my and Lorain’s turn. Is social status that important to them? But whatever, since obviously I wasn’t going to back down that easily just because they are staring at me. I went to the battleground where Lorain was already waiting for me with a grin on her face. Like that was going to scare me.

“You will regret the decision you made to enter this school”.

“We’ll see about that soon who is going to regret their decision and by the end, that grin of yours will also be gone”.

Bell rang hinting on the beginning of the battle. Lorain’s ability was blood manipulation. Yes, according to the abilities name she could control the blood of any living being. She could stop the flow of blood and also control a person’s body by circling blood in different parts of the body. She could also control the blood lying on the floor. She tried to stop my blood flow but she couldn’t.

“Huh? Why can’t I stop her? My ability is not working on her”.

“Since you failed to do your trick so I guess it is my turn to use my ability”.

 Every time Mizuki used her ability her eyes would glow. She could control mana around herself and could make different shapes out of it with her imagination. When she used her ability, everyone was looking at her with shock the same way the examiners did after she used her ability.

 I made a claw out of mana and grabbed Lorain from her waist and was about to smash her into the ground but suddenly the bell rang and Miss harmony stopped us by using an ability cancelation device.

 Stoop!

“Now what? I was about to win”.

“Bell has rung which means my period is over and so is your battle. Since both of you weren’t able to land a clean blow on each other either so you both are tied too and can stay in my class. All those students who won are allowed to take my class while those who lost can see the door to the outside. That’s it for today you can go back to your class. Oh! And next teacher will tell you something important regarding your homes since I’m too busy to tell you so listen to him closely. Bye”.

“Wow! I guess my school years will be interesting thanks to her”

 “Mizuki because of the bell we couldn’t continue our battle but you were able to lay a hand on me so I admit my defeat. I’m your servant for a weak now so you can ask me to do anything”.

“What a sudden change in attitude? But at least you admit your defeat and I don’t need you to be my servant. I just want you to know that everyone is equal. There is no social status within school grounds. I hope that we could be friends instead of pulling each other’s hair. I’m going. See you in the next class”.

 “Hey! Lorain why didn’t you used your ability? You could’ve easily defeated her if you had controlled her blood. She wouldn’t have been able to use her ability if you did that”.

 “I did use my ability. But for some reason, it didn’t work on her. Her mana was pink-coloured too even though the vampire’s who have mana controlling ability show only blue colour at least that’s what I thought”.

“In other words, you weren’t able to get rid of her arrogance”.

“Yes, I failed. Anyway, we are done with that deal so I guess I’ll have to call her according to my own level now. I’m also going to the class”.

 “(In mind) That girl is not ordinary. Not only her mana is pink but also other vampire’s ability doesn’t work on her. I have to keep an eye on her”.

 “Kei aren’t you going to come to class”, said Jones

 “You go first. I will come after a while”.
