4-Losing Control

I entered the study room and took a seat at a desk and took my stuff out. This is why I wanted to work alone, they all expect me to do everything.

After thirty minutes of working on the assigment. Someone entered the room. 

"Hello dear. You must be Seraphina. It's so good to finally meet you." A woman who appeared to be in her 40's told me.

"Nice to meet you too. By the resemblance you're the twins mother." I said as we shook hands.

"I'm Ryane Carter." She smiled. "You must be really hungry. Come with me."

I followed her to the backyard where Nix and Mallory were. I sat in front of Mallory, while Nix was next to her. Ryane gave me a sandwich and a bottle of orange juice. She left after that; said she had a meeting.

"So, uhm. I finished half of the assigment." I mentioned before eating my sandwich.

"You didn't have to." Mallory told me.

"Its fine. It's not the first time I'm doing an assigment by myself." I shrugged.

"No one asked you to do it alone. The assigment isn't due tomorrow. Is in two weeks." Nix told me.

"Well, you two left so I figured this was like every other assigment."

"Something came up and we just didn't feel like doing homework. I prefer to relax and enjoy life." He said.

"You see, unlike you, I cant relax. I need to keep my grades up. College is not cheap. So I need a scholarship." I got up. "I'll email you the part that I finish. I have to go home." With that said I left. 

Phoenix

"That girl needs some fun in her life. She's too uptight." I rolled my eyes.

"Nix, you were an ass to her. You need to apologize. And you will make the other half of the assigment." She told me.

I gave her an annoyed look.

"You'll thank me one day brother." She gave me a side hug and then left. 

Seraphina is cute. Might as well have fun with her. I'm pretty sure she isn't the type of girl who wants a relationship. Her main goal is to graduate and go to college. So it's a win win. I get fun and she gets laid.

The next day I went to school and found Phoenix standing in front of my locker. I walked over there and he was on his phone. 

"Can you move?"

"What, no hi Phoenix? No, excuse me?" He smiled.

"Its weird seeing you smile."

"Well, enjoy it while it last." He told me while getting out of the way of my locker. 

I opened it and put my stuff there and grabbed my books for my first class.

I felt him behind me, he removed my hair and put it to the other side. "You know, your neck is very inviting."

His hot breath sent shiver down my spine. "You're a little too close."  I told him.

"I like it." His lips travel my neck.

Phoenix

I wanted to sink my fangs in her neck and drink her blood. Her blood smells really good. I've never craved anyone's blood as much as I crave hers. 

"Nix! Dad needs to talk to you  immediately. Please excuse us." Mallory dragged me away and shoved me in an empty classroom. 

"Dude, you were losing control there. What happened?"

"I dont know. I'm usually in control. But today, all I wanted was to drink from her." I rubbed my hair in frustration. I can't lose control. 

"Well, get it together. You're lucky hall's were empty. Your whole face changed." She told me. "Dad would smack you if he knew you lost control. You can't go back to the old you."

"I know. Thanks sis. But dad will smack me either way, he knows everything." I sighed as she laughed. 

I used to be a killing machine.  Innocent people also pay the price if they crossed paths with me. This was when I had no control. I would sneak out of the house and went to the city and drink blood. I drained them and then burned their bodies.

Father found out and locked me for a month. There was verbain outside so I wouldnt run. I did learned how to be more in control. But I paid a high price for killing without thinking.

Serena got killed cause of my fault. I killed a man. And that man was the son of another vampire. He threaten that he would take something precious from me, but I paid no attention to it. I mean it was a regular vampire, and me an original.

Until one night, I found Serena dead. She was in an alley lying in her own blood pool. She was like Seraphina. A human. I miss Serena. She was everything to me. I was going to make her a vampire so we could be together forever. But forever didn't happen. 

We heard a knock and it was Seraphina. I opened the door and she had a worried look. 

"Is everything okay? You've been in here for an hour."

"Everything is okay. Sorry about yesterday." I told her. 

"I'm sorry too. It's just school is important to me." She apologized.

"All is good. Now let's go to class." Mallory grabbed our hands and dragged us away to our next class. 

Seraphina sat down next to me. I wanted to lose control with her, I wanted to drink her blood. I want her and this is wrong.  Shes too pure to get involved with me in a way, she does reminds me of Serena.
