5-New Student

It's been a month. Mallory and Phoenix did helped with the assignment and we all got the highest grade. Although Phoenix wasn't talking to me much. It was just, hi, bye and that's about it.

"Does your brother hate me that much?" I asked Mallory while grabbing some stuff from my locker.

"He doesn't hate you. Give that tool time." She answered. "Does it bother you that he doesn't talk to you?"

"A little. I just feel like I did something wrong and that's why he hates me and barely talks to me." I sighed.

"You overthink things. Chill, Sera." She told me while pinching my cheeks. "Patience is key." She took a deep breath and then exhale it.

"If you say so." I mumbled.

Just as we were about to go to our class. A new girl walked in and everyone's eyes were staring at her. She walked in like she owned the place. She was really beautiful. She was walking towards our way.

"Hi." She smiled. "I was wondering if you two could help me find the principal's office."

"I can show you the way there." Phoenix gave her a devilish smile.

Why did that bother me?

"Well, how can I say no to that." She smirked. "Shall we?"

And with that, they left. I don't understand him. Two weeks ago, we were actually having a good time. For a moment I thought there was something between us. Guess I was wrong.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, I have to go to the library before classes start." I made a run there.

"Weird, usually I can hear her thoughts. But today is like something was blocking them." She said to herself.

Grandma visit us last night. She gave me this bracelet and told me to always wear it. Since it was really beautiful I decided to use it like she said. I usually don't wear stuff like this, but this one was cute. Not sure why she insisted to never take it out.

Mallory

This girl was a vampire. I could smell that she wasn't a human. I didn't get a good vibe from her. Something about her was really off.

I made my way to the library and heard crying. It wasn't hard to listen, since it's always empty. I knew it was Seraphina. I see the way she looks at my brother. She is very shy which stops her from making a move on my brother. And my brother is too wrapped up living in the past that he doesn't want to give anyone a chance.

I have no idea what his intentions are with the new girl, but I really hope he isn't thinking about pursuing her. My brother can be a bit shallow. Serena was extremely beautiful, which attracted my brother. She was also nice and kind.

And those qualities is what Seraphina has. I just don't understand why my brother hasn't Pursue her. Those two have a strong chemistry. I swear my brother is a major tool.

I made my way to the aisle where Seraphina was crying.

"Hey, S." I crouched down and she lifted her face with streaked tears.

"I have a headache. I will be fine." She wiped her tears and gave me a faint smile.

"Can't fool me. This is about you liking my clueless twin. I know he likes you." I told her while sitting next to her.

"I- I don't know what you're talking about." She sobbed.

"Seraphina." I gave her a look.

"Fine. I never meant for this to happen. I didn't want to like him in that way. But I do."

"When it comes to matter of the heart, we can't control it. I'm just hoping my twin wakes up and see what's truly in front of him." I told her. "If I was into girls, I would've already made a move on you."

That made her laugh a little.

"Thank you. You're a real friend and I'm grateful for you." She laid her head on my shoulder and cried.

Seraphina

After I was done crying. I went to the bathroom to clean up my face.

"Feeling better?" Mal asked me.

"I guess. I promise I'll be fine." I said while walking away from the bathroom.

Lunch came and we sat at a table just the two of us. Phoenix was too busy with the new girl. She was really flirty and he responded the same way.

After lunch was over, I went to the library again to get a book for a history homework.

"You know, staring is consider rude and very creepy." I turned to see the new girl.

"No idea what you're talking about." I said while looking for the book.

"Phoenix will never like you. Thought you wanted to know. He told me that you were creepy. That you stare too much and have a stupid look on your face that makes him want to kill you."

"If that's how he feels then so be it. I don't care. And please leave me alone." I told her while grabbing the book I came for.

She grabbed me really hard, that blood was dripping from my arm.

"My, my. Your blood smells delicious." She licked my arm and then I saw fangs.

"Stop!" I screamed in pain.

"You will be a pain in my ass if you're alive. So it's best if I just kill you right now."

I shut my eyes and waited for her to kill me. There was no way that I could escape. She was strong. I still can't believe that I'm seeing a vampire. Feels like it's not the first time.
