MILA'S POV

With my head lifted high, I walked through the doors of Unique Estate construction and was immediately met with the serious atmosphere where workers are sitting by their desks with their entire concentration on their computers while others are working on files that are piled up on their desks. Though busy, some managed to raise their heads to look on as I passed by them. I knew by the looks they were giving me that they have heard something about the boss and me but I cared less. I didn't even stop to greet any of them but rather walked straight into the employee's elevator which took me straight to the tenth floor. I walked to Scalerts desk where a middle-aged man, believed to be Mr. Monnet's accountant sat waiting impatiently for me.
