I tapped my foot repeatedly against the floor, impatiently waiting for Jace.

What was he doing when we had more serious matter to discuss?

He was finishing up his chips which seemed more important.

I let out an exasperated groan. "Are you done?"

He held up his hand in a sign of a stop. "Let a man eat in peace."

I was tempted to break my knuckles at his response. "This is your third packet of chips! You've been eating in peace since I shoved that packet in your mouth and wasted it. Then I let you eat more because you were whining about it."
