We all sat in silence, mostly staring at nothing. My mother-in-law was glancing at me and Janice as we didn't utter a word after they left.

It's not because we were worried about them- which we were- but we were upset for not tagging along with them.

"I'll make something for you, girls." My mother-in-law said, getting up as she wiped her sweaty hands against her dress.

"I'll help you." Natasha, Alpha Gray's mate, offered, smiling as they both went to the kitchen.

"I'll cheer you girls up with some of my special food." My mother-in-law said, trying to hype us up.

I and Janice both sighed and nodded lazily at her. "I'm sure it will be amazing as you, mom," I muttered, sighing again.

"Yeah. I heard many praises from Ivy about your cook." Janice said after me, sighing as well.

We both sighed again, simultaneously.
