56. SILENT PAIN.

Amelia stood in front of the door of the suite as she waited patiently after ringing the doorbell.

The person opened the door, his face astonished as ever.

"Can we talk?" she asked in a decent tone and the man was quiet for a whole second.

"What do you want? I don't want any troubles, now. I've been told to leave this city and New York, too," he said as he got seated on the sofa, opposite to her was the little girl.

"Mr Figaro... I have no money to go back to New York. And the people I came here with... betrayed me..." Amelia was just speaking when Figaro interrupted her by asking, "So, do you want me to lend you some money?"

"No. I want you to ask someone to give me a job in a night club."

"As?" he crossed his legs, knee over the knee as he took a sip of his drink.

"As a waitress, of course," she replied positively.

"Why don't you ask Mr Valentino or Mr Black. They have much more contacts with the club owners than me..." he spoke
