Chapter 2: Meeting Her

Aarav's POV

The day when I was supposed to leave for Delhi had arrived, Manvi followed me to the airport. We stepped out of the car and I saw a media person approaching us. I sighed deeply, I had to keep many things confidential as I don’t want the media to interfere in my personal life.

He questioned me “sir, are you going to take over the big industries in Delhi?”

“You will know when I will sign the deal” I informed, I held Manvi’s hand and walked into the airport ignoring them.

I checked in my luggage and then glanced at Manvi. She was upset that I am leaving for a business trip soon to our wedding. She wanted me to comply with her shopping, wedding arrangements but never said it as she knows how important my business trip is.

“If you say, I will stay back” I insisted, she eyed me.

“No! I don’t want you to lose any deals because of me” She said with a smile on her face.

“Sure?” I asked again.

She nodded affirmatively and instructed me “take care of yourself which often you forget often whenever you are at work”

I held her hand and said “I will.. Then I will return and take you to my home where you will take care of me and I will only love you”

She kept her head on my chest and hugged me tightly. “I will be waiting for you..” she said.

I kissed her head lightly and smiled. When the announcement was made, I got away from the hug. I moved further but stopped as she was still holding my hand.

I smiled and freed my hand and moved in waving a final bye to her. I boarded the flight and in the next 3 hours, I was at Delhi Airport.

I picked up my luggage from the luggage belt and moved out. A person was standing there holding my nameplate. I went to him and greeted him “Aarav Sinha”

He smiled and said, “hello sir, welcome to Delhi..”

He took me to his car and I sat inside, I took out my laptop and began doing some office work. I asked, “How long will it take to reach the hotel?”

“Sir, just 15 minutes more,” he replied.

I nodded and engrossed in my work. I was so lost that I did not realise the car had arrived at the destination.

“Sir we have reached,” the driver said.

I closed the laptop, kept it inside my bag. The driver warned me “Sir keep the valuable items safely, there are many thieves in the city”

I nodded with a smile and moved into the hotel lobby. I checked into my room and straight moved to the conference area of the hotel as I didn’t want to miss even a second. I wanted to end the meeting and deal as soon as possible so that I could go back to Mumbai on time and help Manvi with wedding preparations.

“Good evening everyone, I know every one of you has reached today and want to relax but I don’t want any delays in my work. So tomorrow morning we will discuss the project then finalize it, thank you” I briefed everyone and moved out.

I commenced towards the pool while scrolling my phone. I ended up colliding with someone and the voice said in anger “can’t you walk properly! Bloody moron”

I glanced at her and apologize as it was my mistake “I am sorry, I hope I didn’t hurt you”

I moved one step but stopped when the girl held my wrist. I was surprised at her move, she stared at me for a while and her angry look changed into a beautiful smile. She said in a flirty tone “Wow! Handsome man, often this conflict turns into love!”

I was perplexed at her behaviour but ignored her by freeing my hand. I moved ahead and the phone ring diverted my thoughts about this strange girl. I looked at the screen and smiled seeing the caller Id. I bit my tongue as I didn’t inform her about my arrival in Delhi.

I slid the screen towards the right and attached the phone to my ear “Sorry I forgot to call you” I said before my fiance would start complaining.

“Aarav! When you work you don’t remember anything. I am sure you hadn’t even relaxed for a moment”  she uttered, and her statement brought a smile to my face. She knows me thoroughly.

“Well! That’s how I am” I replied helplessly.

“Yes, I know and now you are going to listen to my instructions. Go and swim, you will feel relaxed” She ordered.

“But” I tried to protest but she did not give me a chance to even end my sentence.

“Listen Aarav, your business deals and meetings will be successful when you are going to be relaxed. Understood! Will you go or should I land there on the next flight?” The anger was audible in her voice as I am careless in taking care of myself.

“Why not sweetheart! That could be a pre-marriage honeymoon trip for us” I said in a teasing tone.

“Shut up Aarav! I am serious” she scolded me more.

I smiled at her annoyed tone and agreed “alright! Alright catch with you soon”

I ended the call, I took a deep breath, it wouldn't be ethically right to disobey my finance’s instructions.

I changed into the swim boxers and then jumped into the pool. I did 10 laps and felt relaxed. The tiredness was invisible and I soon drowned in the water. I felt someone’s hand and pulled myself up. I cleaned my watery eyes to get a clear glimpse of the person and it was the same girl with whom I collided a few minutes ago.

For a moment, I eyed her and she was indeed beautiful. She said “So it’s our second meet, God also wants us to meet again and again”

I believed it was coincident, she forwarded her hand and introduced herself “Ahana Kashyap”

If I ignore her for a second time, she might consider me as a rude and arrogant business tycoon which is not my personality. I smiled at her and shook my hand with her.  “Aarav Sinha” I introduced myself.

Her eyes open wide hearing my name, she was in a state of shock “Aarav Sinha? Top business of Mumbai.. Right?”

“Yes, that is me,” I said proudly.

“Oh my God! The sexiest man on earth, will you have dinner with me?” She asked me for a date.

I wasn’t interested as I was only here for the business trip. “I am here for some professional work, see you around” I declined politely and moved out of the swimming pool.
