By the time Logan reached the store, Beth is ready to head home.

"So I'm really quitting the job?"

"Yes." His answer is short and flat.

"Why didn't you tell me about Mr. Johnny's incident yesterday... in the cafeteria?" Beth meant to ask the story that Sophia had told her earlier. Logan who is still holding her hand walking towards the parking lot ... Only responds to her questions by clearing his throat softly.
