Audrey POV

I am freezing but Terry’s arms are keeping me warm and safe. It snowed a little again last night and now our hike has turned into a beautiful winter wonderland trek. My tennis shoes are soaked and all I have for a jacket is a hoodie, but Terry kisses my cheek and I already feel so much better.

“This is beautiful,” I whisper. My breath fogs in the air and we look down below at the waterfalls. There are three falls down below us, but they are all frozen. The ice flares up at the bottom like fire where it took its last breath before freezing.

“I know someone who is even more beautiful than this,” Terry whispers in my ear. His hot breath on my neck and he holds me tightly, “So I guess no cliff jumping?” I tease and he shakes his head, “I guess not, but we should head back and see if we have anything to make hot cocoa with.”

I smile, “I saw tea in the cabinet. Mint, I think.”

He kisses my neck again, “That sounds perfect. Then we can have a soak in the hot tub too.” I nod in agr
