Jam The Dog

Chapter 14

Just then, a dog's bark sounded in the hallway, and just then, a dog came running his nose against the door.

Astonished, I asked Bella to please go ahead and open the door, letting the golden creature come in.

He sniffed around Asher and Dante and then came to rest beside me, his tail thumping the ground repeatedly. “Oh my god, what a cute dog!” I squealed, rubbing his fur excitedly.

I could barely believe that they had a dog - I had not heard a dog's bark or seen him the day before, but the house was huge, and he was probably somewhere else.

“At least now you see what we mean,” laughed Dante, watching the dog and I interacted with. Shaking my head, I burst into series of laughter. “Oh, he is just delightful! What's his name?”

“Jam,” supplied Asher, beaming at me.

“I named him. Don't you like his name?”

“It's a nice name, ” I laughed, “very characteristic of you.”

With a smile I kept my hand on Jam's head, all too happy to have his company.
