Alexei

Since I’ve met Irene, I’ve never seen her angry. Not once. I couldn’t even picture her with anything close to a hostile look on her face. But the day I told her about how I met Emma and what Emma had been through, it was like something inside her snapped. Her eyes burned, sharp and fierce, and for a second I almost didn’t recognize her. She didn’t go off or raise her voice, but the weight in her words made it clear. She just said she was glad that pathetic excuse of a woman was dead, and so was Gregor.

That was a week ago. Since then, she hasn’t said a single word about it. She talks about Emma like normal, asks what she’s been up to, plans little things for her, comes up with little ideas to make her smile, but she doesn’t touch the past. She keeps her focus on the now.

I’m thankful for that. I don’t want to go back there either. I don’t want to remember the bruises, the hollow look in Emma’s eyes, or the way her voice used to sound when she spoke too softly, like she was afra

  • Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate   Chapter 43

IreneThe moment we step into the packhouse, I realize I’ve never actually seen the inside before. It isn’t as big as ours, but it’s still spacious, with a warm, lived-in feeling. The halls stretch into different sections, each one connecting back to the main building. I notice how the design gives privacy without making anyone feel cut off. It’s clever. It’s… homey.“This is where the pups live,” Alexei says with a soft smile, waving his hand toward the hallway as we walk. His voice is light, but there’s something deep in it, a kind of pride. “In our pack, there’s no pup who’s orphaned… all are ours. As long as we’re alive, no pup will feel abandoned or alone. They’ll always have us to take care of them, to provide for them, to love them. Because they’re family, and this pack is their home.”The way he says it, so sure and firm, like it comes from somewhere way down inside him, makes my chest tighten. If I wasn’t already falling for him, I would be now.We stop in front of a closed d

  • Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate   Chapter 42

IreneI slip into a sleeveless cotton one-piece dress that hits just at my knees, the soft fabric moving lightly against my skin. It’s pale cream with tiny blue flowers scattered across it, the kind of dress that feels easy but still makes me feel put together. Sitting at my vanity, I work a brush through my wavy hair, tugging out the knots until it falls loose over my shoulders. I know Alexei likes it this way, so I leave it down.I reach for one of my silver bracelets, the one Klaus gave me, and fasten it around my wrist, holding the little chain between my teeth as I work the clasp. A small dab of my strawberry lip balm leaves a hint of shine and sweetness on my lips. When I glance at my reflection in the mirror, I feel a quiet satisfaction. It’s simple, but it’s me.This morning before work, Alexei mentioned there was going to be a pack lunch to celebrate the first shift of one of the pups at the packhouse. He told me he’d be going and asked if I wanted to come along, leaving the

  • Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate   Chapter 41

AlexeiNot even thirty minutes have gone by and I’m already missing Irene. And it’s ridiculous.Feels like the second I’m not with her, some piece of me’s gone missing. As if someone ripped out a part of me and left me walking around half-empty. It’s stupid, but I can’t shake it.My wolf’s pacing in my head, throwing a fit like a toddler who just had his favorite toy taken away. He hates that we left her behind, and constantly growling loudly in my head and giving me a strong headache. He’s pissed.I can feel it in every restless shove he sends through me. The only reason we left her at home is because Mikhail got this urgent mindlink about something near the border. If it was up to my wolf, we’d be back in home with Irene in our arms. And… okay, I wouldn’t argue. If we do find any threat around here, I can already tell, my wolf won’t hold back. No warning growls, no slow approach. He’s ready to rip apart anything that even smells wrong. We’re standing near the east side fence, the tr

  • Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate   Chapter 40

IreneIt’s night now, but I wake up tangled in Alexei’s arms and legs like we’ve been wrapped around each other all day, which we have. A shy smile creeps across my lips as the memories flood back: the way his hands claimed me, the heat of his kisses, the endless moments we spent losing ourselves in each other. My skin still carries the traces of him, soft bruises, the marks where his mouth pressed, the places where his touch left me breathless. I can’t even count how many times he made me his today. My heart pounds so hard I’m sure it could burst. But then the smile fades for a moment as the full weight of what I’m feeling sinks in. I love him. There’s no other word that fits. It’s not just desire or infatuation. It’s something deeper, something real that pulls at every part of me. I love him with everything inside me... my heart, my soul, all of it.It should scare me, how fast this all happened, how quickly I let myself fall. But it doesn’t. Because I know I fell for the right man,

  • Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate   Chapter 39

IreneThe more he kisses me, the more I feel this strange mix of freedom and power wrapping around me, tying me to him in ways I can’t explain. Every nerve in my body feels like it’s catching fire. His lips stay on mine even when he twists me around, pulling me flush against him by my hips. Then his arm hooks under my knee, lifting my leg around his waist as he picks me up like I weigh nothing. The sudden crash of things hitting the floor startles me. He’s swept the table clear, and before I can process it, I’m sitting on it, breathless, with him standing between my knees. When he finally breaks the kiss, my lips tingle, and I can’t tear my eyes away from him. His blue eyes are darker now, almost stormy, locking onto me in a way that makes my pulse race even more. He drags his knuckles gently along the side of my face, down the curve of my neck, and then his hand shifts toward the center of my chest. My heart is pounding so hard it’s almost embarrassing. When his fingers spread wide an
