Anastasia

Everyone’s where they’re supposed to be, and for once, it actually feels like things are under control. The final prep is done, and there’s this weird kind of calm in the air, not heavy or tense, just... quiet. Like we all know what we’re doing, and we’re ready.

The safe houses are full. Kids, elders, anyone who can’t or shouldn’t fight, they’re protected. I checked in on them earlier. The little ones looked completely at ease yet from their face I felt that they already knew something big was happening. It didn’t scare them though. That’s the thing about pack life. Even the youngest ones are tougher than they look.

Out here, just past the edge of our land, we’ve set up base. It was smart to keep the fight away from the heart of the pack. If things go south, at least the damage won’t hit home. Everyone's posted and alert, ready for whatever comes. I can see my people moving around, double-checking gear, sharing quick nods and small smiles like we’ve done this a thousand time

  • Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate   Chapter 83

AnastasiaJust like we planned, I sneak away from the border patrol, keeping low and quiet as I move through the trees. As I cross the edge of our territory, I catch Irvin and one of the warriors, Yancy’s eyes. They don’t say a word, just give me a quick nod. Nothing big, nothing dramatic. Just enough to let me know they see me and they’re with me. Just like everyone else who pretends as if they didn't even notice someone sneaking out of the pack. I don’t stop. I don’t look back. I just keep my head down and keep moving. The path toward the troops is rough and mostly quiet, except for the wind rustling the branches and the crunch of dry leaves under my boots. My mind’s racing, not with fear, but with focus. The area I’m heading toward is the one we marked earlier, making it look like a weak spot in the pack's defenses. This is the place from which I send them a signal. It’s bait.Because we’ve filled this whole area with our wolves. Hidden. Watching. Waiting.Pete and his men are sur

AnastasiaOne by one, the shewolves step forward, each offering a flower. White petals pass into my hands, soft and light, almost glowing in the quiet light around us. There's something about them that tugs at my chest—like I’m being trusted with something fragile and beautiful at the same time. Each flower feels like a piece of something bigger. I don’t even try to hold back the smile pulling at my lips. It grows with every step they take toward me, with every petal added to my arms. And then I see her. Sophia. She walks slowly, a single rose in her hands. Deep red. Bold. Different from everything else I've been handed. She stops in front of me and meets my gaze, and there's something so peaceful in her eyes that I can’t look away.“Roses are very special to me. They hold extreme significance in my life,” she says, voice soft but not fragile. “They gave me hope when I had none. They gave me courage to move forward when I was drowning. They symbolize strength, resilience, and above al

  • Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate   Chapter 81

AnastasiaThere’s still this nagging thing in the back of my mind that doesn’t sit right. Something I haven’t been able to shake off. Irvin never came back. Never even tried. And sure, now I know Ralph tried to kill him, which makes it clear Pete had a hand in it too. But then why was he keeping tabs on the hunters if he was trying to disappear?“You never wanted anyone to find out you’re alive,” I say, watching him from the side as I sit on the bench. “You wanted Pete to believe you’re gone for good. But then why were you spying on them?”He sits next to me and lets out a slow breath. “Because Mara’s still there.”He doesn’t even hesitate, like it’s the most obvious answer in the world.“We can’t just leave and pretend they won’t come after us. If they know someone’s trying to escape, they’ll hunt them down. Pete probably thinks I’m dead, so I’m not a priority anymore. But she’s still in it. Still part of their twisted little group. If she tries to leave, they’ll come for her.”His j

AnastasiaI’m wiping the sweat from my forehead with the back of my hand, chest rising and falling hard from the last round of training. My legs feel like jelly and my arms ache, but it’s a good kind of tired. The kind that tells me I’m getting stronger, faster. Placing my hands on my hips, I watch a guard jog over to me. He stops a few steps away and bows his head, "Luna."I am still getting used to such a greeting, but every time it feels weird. “Luna, Irvin’s at the border. He’s requesting to enter the pack. Says he needs to meet you. Says it’s important.” He informs.Irvin is not allowed to enter Pack's territory without permission; that's why he must have asked him to inform me.What is it that he wants to talk about?I take a second, rolling my shoulders back. “Bring him to me.”The guard nods and rushes off.I grab a bottle of water from the table nearby and take a few sips, letting the coolness settle the burn in my throat. My thoughts are already spinning. I already plann

AnastasiaI lead Irvin across the field where the guys are already warming up. The sun's barely up, dew still clings to the grass, and yet these wolves move like they’ve had three cups of coffee already. Irvin walks beside me, hands in his pockets, quiet like usual, but I can tell he’s curious. He keeps glancing at the wolves like he’s trying to figure them out. Probably is. That’s fine. They’re trying to figure him out too.“Alright,” I call out as we stop in front of the group. The wolves pause, forming a loose half-circle. "This Irvin. He is a hunter just like me. But he’s not here to fight us. He’s here to help us.”There are a few raised brows, a few skeptical gazes, but no one says a word.I glance at Irvin. “He knows their weapons, their setups, their signals. What kind of ambush might they plan? Where might they hide their traps? Today, he’s gonna walk you through it all. Show you what they use, how they move, how they think.” I turn my face back to them, "He is going to trai

JakeI lean against one of the fence posts, arms crossed, watching the chaos unfold in front of me. And by chaos, I mean Anastasia yelling at my best fighters like she owns the place.Which, honestly, she kind of does.Fifteen of our top wolves, the best warriors we’ve got, are lined up in front of her like scolded school kids. She paces in front of them, tossing commands like she was born for it, and not one of them dares to talk back. Not even Viktor, who once told Caleb to go to hell during sparring because he asked him to do ten more push-ups.Now he’s doing burpees while she counts loud and slow, like she knows he’s dying inside. And I swear, if she calls him out one more time, he might cry. I bite the inside of my cheek to keep from laughing.“You’re dropping your guard again, Viktor! What happens when a bullet finds that gap, huh?” she calls out, walking up to him. “You bleed. Then you die. So maybe don’t do that.”He nods, breathless. “Yes, Luna.”“Good. Then stop embarrassing

AnastasiaI step out of the cottage, my mind already processing all the new findings, and the moment I put some distance between me and the door, I hear the soft shuffle behind me.“Do you trust him?” Alexei falls in step beside me. He’s back in his human form now, hair still damp from the shift, shirtless but wearing shorts. “No,” I say without missing a beat. I don’t even look at him, just keep walking, eyes ahead.I know he heard every word. With how sharp werewolf hearing is, I’d be more surprised if he hadn’t. He doesn’t apologize, though. None of them ever do. That’s just how it works around here.“But he’s one of the hunters who had access to the artillery,” I say, slowing my pace as we enter the pack’s territory. "He is quite skillful when it comes to weapons."I stop and turn toward him, catching his gaze. “I’m going to use him to find out what we’re really up against. And he’s going to help us train for it.”“What if he doesn’t?” Alexei asks, voice lower now, more serious.

  • Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate   Chapter 77

Anastasia"Pete intentionally shot me when I was a baby?" The words taste weird coming out of my mouth. My brows pull together as I frown, trying to wrap my head around it."Yeah, he did." Irwin nods and walks over to the mattress like the weight of it is finally pressing down on him. He sits and leans forward, elbows on his knees. "From whose gun was the shot fired? Who could be careless enough not to see a baby walking out in the field?"I think back to what Dad once told me. Something vague about how I ran out in the field while they were training. That it was an accident. But he never said who pulled the trigger. Never even hinted. Maybe even he also never believe that one of the people whom he considered brothers could do something like this."It was Pete's," Irwin says, finishing the thought for me. His voice is low but sure. "He never told me directly, but he told Ralph. And Ralph, in one of his moments of hate, spilled everything in front of me.""Ralph was never your friend,
