Glass laid shattered on the wooden floor and the arrow that had a note tied to it was still embedded into the wall behind me. The note that contained the warning or rather a pledge to kill my whole pack laid open on my desk as I examined the piece of parchment, trying to figure out who this cocky bastard truly was. Although the name was useful it also wasn't. The title Count was someone of a high-ranking class. Humans had stopped using the term long ago but creatures such as the Fae, Elf, and Vampiric species still used it. Other species that used the title weren't too picky or cocky about flaunting the title but the person seemed to flaunt it as though it was a prized jeweled.
