They became vigilant. Silence stood still among them. Only Sebastian's fire made the motion as it dances with the slight wind; they can't even comprehend where the wind comes from; perhaps from the crevices of broken windows. Their shadows dances with the fire.

Alpha Lachlan controlled his breathing. Deep, slow breathing. He is calming himself in an attempt to tune in to the surrounding.

“You saw it too…” Leo scooped the kid.

The kid is probably between ages 12-14. He got nothing covering on his body except a tiny piece of cloth wrapped around his waist. His arms are like withered plants. There's no sign of energy.

“We all saw it.” Alpha Lachlan roamed his eyes, trying to spot the entity they saw awhile. It must have been lurking at the dark where Sebastian's fire can't illuminate.

“It was a kid,” Sebastian said. “But, the kid isn't a kid anymore,” he added. What he saw was extremely agile. It was able to dodge his fire and disappear just by the duration
