Heather stomped out of the hospital room. Neither one of us spoke until she was fully up the stairs.“Worked like I said it would.” Luca looked down at an unconscious Angie. “I can’t believe that actually worked. Never doubted you for a second.” Luca looked up at me and smiled. Two nurses came in with a new bag of fluid. “Is she ready to keep sedated?” “She is. “Are you awake?” Heather laid beside me. Since Luca wanted to sleep separately tonight, Heather volunteered to keep me company. “Yeah, what’s up?” “Nothing.
