Derek plopped on the chair sighing heavily, I put my textbook on the table then walked to the kitchen only to come out some moments later with a glass of water.

“Considerate huh?” he glanced at my face with a playful smile, “Thank you.” He said taking the water and drinking everything at once.

“Stressful day?” I asked, staring at him as I picked up the textbook again. Now opening to the page I was reading earlier.

“Yeah… just this friend at work,”

My hands pause on one of the pages, “Was he fired?” I asked curiously.

“No… he's the easy going kind of person, kind, gentle, diligent, punctual, until these days, he doesn't come to work, we called but it was always answered by his wife who sings the same thing that her husband is sick..”

“Sorry about that.”

“Yeah.. so today, we just took his address from his job profile and went to his home, you won't believe it, we were made known that he died.” Derek facepalmed himself, lowering it just below his face
