Departure II
Third Person’s POV
A day and night passed without much wave. Asha leaned against the wide trunk of a tree in the middle of the forest trail that she had chosen to take. The sound of small animals and insects hidden by the abundant brushes and trees tickled her ears as she raised her sight to the climbing sun in the bright blue sky.
She rested for a night after walking for over six hours, but Asha could still feel the sore and slightly prickling feeling of her legs and toes from overworking them yesterday. But she felt slightly accomplished at the thought that she is already out of the Artemia Kingdom’s inner territory.
It might be Asha’s first time outside the protected paradise of the Blood Wolves clan, but she had studied under Priestess Eva since she could read and write, and the map of the Artemia Kingdom is one of the subjects that she had memorized in accordance with a priestess’ job to be the link of the Moon go
RebelliadThird Person’s POVThe delegation of the Artemia Kingdom from the coming end of the year competition gathered together at the crack of dawn. Crown Prince Rogeus walked out of the palace gate with two personal aides carrying his luggage and sword. And there are already two sturdy carriages and a smaller one waiting in front of them a few meters away from the palace gate. The carriage is large, and it could carry a dozen or so adult men without any problem as it is pulled by ten horses that were all trained and groomed inside the palace. Crown Prince Rogeus did not want the participants to crowd in a single carriage, so aside from the two large carriage, the rest of the royal guards that are going to accompany them on their journey will ride their own horses along with another smaller carriage that is used for storing their camping supplies and food.Crown Prince Rogeus walked closer to the three carriages as the dozen royal guards along wit
Moon ViewThird Person’s POVIn the vast lands of Selestine, down the southern mountains and further to the desolate plateau that is seemingly dyed with blood since time immemorial, the Moon view temple stands at the apex that could not be touched by the small werewolf tribes near the area. These small werewolf tribes are still fixed in the era of living in the wild without embracing the advancing life styles of those from the four kingdoms. They are more savage and aggressive than most werewolves, and they do not fear the strong armies of the four kingdoms at all, but they would never dare to attract the ire of the Moon view temple which forced them to settle down in peace without raising much chaos as they have been doing in the past hundreds of years. The Moon view temple stands at the highest land in the red plateau, and the arena is built directly below it while connecting it with over one thousand steps of stairs. The temple is made up of molt
Moon View IIThird Person’s POVInside the solemn hall of the main temple of Moon view, Lore stiffly stood in front of four elders that are seated in the four corners of the hall. They are all the highly respected individuals of the Light clan that holds the power of the clan itself, and such power does not only mean the power of the temple. After all, with the Light clan’s thousand years of history and progress, they have accumulated loyal followers due to the gratitude that they got for healing those in need that traversed and crossed the dangerous wild lands just to arrive at the doorstep of the Moon view temple. And in this current generation of the Light clan, there are exactly three healers, as aside from the two former caretakers, Lore is the youngest and the hope of the Light clan to hold up the Moon view temple for the future deca
Fressia KingdomThird Person’s POVThe afternoon training session of the city lord mansion’s guards passed quickly and those of the lower rank dispersed to their resting places at the sight of sunset. Captain Ross twisted his waist to shake off the feeling of numbness from the continuous sparring matches with his subordinates. He is only in his mid-twenties, but Captain Ross feels like his bones are giving up on him due to the harshness of their training sessions. “It will be shameful if I could not last longer than this in an actual battle.” A sigh of giving in to the ruthless Spartan style of their lord slipped past his lips as he remembered that they have a new mission to fulfill later. It has been two years since Rebelliad settled down with Samel Karsan’s rule as the city lord, and even the chaotic city of Rogues welcomed peace as the unbridled beatings of innocent citizens lessened along with the dropping rates of the cr
Fressia Kingdom IIThird Person’s POVThe twilight shining down on the pure white land of the Fressia Kingdom appears hazy in General Markus’ eyes as he looked down the opened window with an empty mind that could not come up with any reason for the sudden ailment of his obviously very healthy body at its prime. The reality of being born in Selestine without a mated pair has long been tucked away in some corner of General Markus’ heart. It is a topic that he had never dared to touch after the continuous rounds of disappointments in the years that followed after he reached his adulthood. He had never felt the pull of his wolf in the past fourteen years, and the daydreams of feeling the screams of his soul to urgently find his other half only stayed in the fields of his imagination.Gentle knocks sounded from the door of his chamber as General Markus’s empty eyes slowly glittered with life and focus. “What’s wrong?&
InjuredThird Person’s POVChirps of insects filled Asha’s ears as she leaned against the hard wall of the small cave that she is nesting in. Her brows furrowed from the soreness filling her limbs as she tried to slowly massage her legs with her dirtied hands. Travelling for a month inside a forest without any prepared clothing and food could only be called as suicide, and Asha could only count on some luck to find a water source and some wild fruits to stave off her thirst and hunger. In the past month, Asha encountered a lot of wild animals, but luckily, they are mostly small wild ones that could be dealt with easily by her small experience in close combat along with her special ability. Such encounters caused her to be bruised with purple and red on her pale white skin that further made her look pitiful that even Soran would not be able to recognize her even if she was in front of him.All of the painful points on her body seem to have converged to a dull and
Injured IIThird Person’s POVAsha’s mind went blank from the overwhelming pressure and fear as her body instinctively moved the way that she had envisioned her escape. Her subconscious is screaming with warnings as she felt the creeping chill at her back that is followed by the huge tremor of a giant beast running wildly after her wake. Asha bit the tip of her tongue to awaken her dimming senses as her mind cleared for a bit to whirl around for her chances of escape and survival. The thick roll of vine being pulled by her hand followed her deliberate twists and turns on the tall bushes as she neared the vicinity of the rows of protruding rocks. The giant black bear rushing madly behind her is now only a dozen of meters away as it growled with fervor as its saliva splattered across its path that has been trampled to bits from its terrifying strength and speed.Asha could only hear her tumultuous heartbeats that seems to rival the thunderous echoes of a stormy sky
HuntThird Person’s POVThe thick snow carpet adorning the land of the Northern Selestine issued crumpling sounds as a shoddy-looking winter carriage passed by above it. The winter wind is merciless and sharp, and the wooden windows of the carriage flapped wildly while enduring the onslaught of the land’s natural weather. The driver of the carriage is only wearing a thin winter coat and trousers, but the chill of the wind did not affect his ability to control the steadfast pace of the carriage. Lyor languidly leaned forward on the front window of the carriage where he can chat with the driver that is also part of the first-class guards of the Lord’s manor. It is the monthly hunting expedition of Samel and his personal subordinates, so with the rest in the red plateau to compete in the end of the year competition of the Moon view temple, it is only Samel and Lyor at this time which explains the deserted appearance of their carriage with only the three of them al
