Chapter 13: Too Shocked

I had just finished grooming my face when Nikki entered my suite.

"They're at the bar Gio. What? You're done?"

I nodded. One more look in the mirror and I'm done. We went out there.

"By the way, Dianne said you're early tomorrow because there's a shoot going on with the families. So don't drink too much and you might not get up early."

"I really have no intention of getting drunk. It's embarrassing for Dianne and Adam."

When we entered the resort bar, I saw only wedding guests. The music was booming with the neon lights. The artificial smoke on the dancefloor further enticed those present. We immediately saw the group of Gio and Bernard and approached.

"The birthday girl is here," Gio said and touched my waist. "I'm sorry if it's too late for our celebration."

I chuckled. "It's okay."
