"What the hell are you doing here? Are you following me?"
"Woah," he laughed. "Chill. You're making it sound like I'm sort of a stalker. You're so full of yourself. Can't I be in this luxurious cruise ship?"
"I don't believe you."
He rolled his eyes and went closer to me. "Fine. I just want to check if you are still breathing. I want to ensure your life for the whole month so you can't break the agreement."
"Thank you for the concern, Mr. Deity, but I'm not a walking disaster nor a magnet of troubles. I made it for two decades, why can't I make it for another month?"
"I just have a bad feeling. I feel like you'd be in trouble often."
"Maybe you mean I'd be in trouble often because of you."
I walked towards the other side of the deck but he just followed me.
"Can you please stop following me? I have a job to do," I snapped.
"Why are you still working, anyway? I can give you money. How much do you want? I can give you everything. Just tell me."
I stopped and faced him. "So you want to play the role of a genie for a month, huh. What, to appease the guilt?"
His look turned sharp. His eyes went to a darker shade.
"Appease my guilt?" He smirked. "You think I have time to think about such trivial matter? I'm only doing this as our agreement entails. I don't want you running away later on because you don't want to die. I just want your debts to be bigger, so that you'd have no choice but pay for the price we both agreed on."
He's such a heartless evil. Why is he a deity, anyway? He should have been a demon. I think it suits him better.
I turned and walked away. I sighed in relief when I figured out that he stopped following me. I can't believe him. Can't he feel any remorse for what he's asking me to do? Can't he feel even the slightest guilt? Ah, I remember. He's not a human. He's not capable of feeling such things.
For the next hours, I was thankful that I didn't see Helion around. I won't be able to work properly if I see him. He would ruin my mood.
After dinner, I went to my cabin to rest but I woke up in the middle of the night. I couldn't sleep again so I just decided to go up on the top deck and get some fresh air. I hold onto the railings and stared at the dark sea in front. Even with the moonlight, the sea is still so dark. It looks so calm on the surface but who knows what are the dangers awaiting beneath it. Even if it's dangerous, I couldn't help but adore it. I wonder how Helion will kill me? Because if I will make the choice, I rather be drowned in such a wonderful sea. Dying under waters is everyone's horror, but for me I think it's a lot more noble. After all, dying in the place you love is better.
In the midst of my deep thoughts, I was disturbed by a shout. It was from a girl and it seems like she's asking for help.
I went to find where the noise came from. While walking towards the opposite side of the deck, the muffled screams became louder so I think I'm getting closer. Thinking that something is happening made me a little nervous. Where are the guards here? Sure, the muffled screams can't be heard on the lower deck but the ship's owner should have at least put security here. Unless they know what's happening and just turning a blind eye on it.
"What the fuck," I blurted when I saw five men undressing a girl forcefully. Five men in ship staffs' uniforms.
The girl looked helpless and awful. She's close to being completely exposed and raped.
"What are you doing to her?!" My voice trembled in so much anger. Even if I don't know the girl, I can imagine how terrifying it is to be in such horrible situation.
"Oh, another beauty..." the older man laughed. The others just laughed with him.
I could smell the cheap alcohol and smoke from them. It smelled awful.
"I will report you!"
I was about to run but a strong hand on my arm stopped me. The others are also now standing, surrounding me as if they could eat me alive with their stares.
"Get off me," I demanded in a firm tone.
I know some basic physical defense but with these five big and tall men, even if I would hit one or two of them, I still won't stand a chance.
"You think you can get away from the crime you've done?" I shook my head and smirked.
"You are the only witness. We only need to take care of you then it's done," the other man said and laughed.
I sighed. "Fine. If you want to play, let the girl go. I can play with you."
"Woah! Did you hear that? She wants to take her place!"
"Though, we are afraid that the girl might spill the beans. It's better if we just throw her to the sea."
My jaw clenched. I badly want to hit their ugly faces.
"She will promise not to tell anybody," I said and looked at the trembling girl. "Right?"
She looked hesitant but I gave her that 'Trust me' look. She nodded at the end.
"She already promised, now let her go."
"Do you think we are fools? Why would we let her go after what happened? We will be doomed," the biggest one said.
"Fuck you," I fired and spit on his face.
His face turned red in anger, and the next thing I knew, his big hand hit my face. I closed my eyes for a moment. My face felt numb because of the slap. I've never been hit my whole life. it was the first.
I was at the edge. If I'd end up violated by these men tonight, then I might as well try my luck than do nothing. With my free hand, I clenched it on a tight fist and punched the man who slapped me straight to his face. I knew it was so hard because I felt my knuckles breaking, but I felt better when I saw his bleeding nose.
"How dare you slap me with your filthy hand."
"You wench!"
He slapped me again that made me lose my balance. I fell on the ground and the others laughed. I spit a little blood from my wounded lip. I glared at them.
"Kill me, then. Try to kill me and let's see what will happen to you."
Someone else wants to kill me himself. You are all doomed if that won't happen. I wish I can witness their suffering myself, though. Where is that bastard deity, anyway? I guess he's right. I would be meeting trouble often. Maybe he cursed me.
"What, are you a daughter of someone big? I don't think so. I've seen you earlier. You are that new photographer. You are no one. So don't you try scare us, little girl."
I stood and look at them with so much anger.
"You know what you can do? Undress yourself and please us with your body. Maybe if you would do great, we would change our mind and spare you after."
"A bunch of jerks," I muttered. "Please you? I would rather die than do that!"
The bigger man held my arm so tight I was fighting the urge to wince.
He was about to hit me again when the ship suddenly shook so hard along with loud thunders.
The next moment, my jaw dropped when I saw such big wave slammed the deck right before us. It was so sudden and big I thought the ship would flip.
When the wave subsided, a fast streak of lightning hit the front part of the deck. I closed my eyes for a second because of the light. When I opened it, my jaw dropped when I saw who was standing on the exact spot where the lightning hit.
His blazing sea-green eyes told me how pissed he was.
"I didn't give you permission to touch what's mine," he said so quietly that it sounds strangely more threatening.
"You know what, darling? It makes me a little sad that I have to pass you on to another man. I had barely known you for a few days, but here you are, getting married very soon." Father laughed. "But do not get me wrong. It is okay to marry. I am fine and I am also glad too that there was someone like Ares who was there for you when I was not there. I will always be thankful to him, and I support your marriage with all my heart. And I think I know what could hush my little sadness away. You should give me grandchildren as soon as you are married.""That will not be a problem, Your Majesty," Demitri responded to the latter part of Father's speech. I looked sharply at him but he only stared back at me with gentle and loving eyes. How could I not love this very adorable man, anyway? Anyone in my shoes would certainly break her principles in order to be with him just like what I did. Loving Demitri is worth it. He is all worth it. And I am so lucky to have him as my man who would love me t
Raja slowly vanished and returned to a red smoke. It then went back to my necklace, and all I was able to do was watch the last trace of him vanish in thin air.‘Raja, are you there?’ I asked through our mind link, hoping that he’s just in the necklace and still could talk to me.But his response didn’t come. Not even his usual growl when he doesn’t feel like answering my question or when I’m doing something stupid. All I hear was silence. Empty silence that made me feel so cold inside.“Your annoying pet is now sealed, dear Ophelia. He can’t interfere my business anymore,” Ren said evilly. With tears in my eyes, I tried to talk to Raja again, but there was no answer. He was really sealed into endless sleep and I don’t have the least bit idea how to awaken him. Even King Arthur and Queen Romina thought that there was no way to awaken David. They said that the seal can only be broken by the one who did it, but in this case, I doubt if Ren would do me such favor or I could force him to.
I leaped and attacked Ren aggressively. Raja followed my move, probably thinking that he should finish Ren off before I lay my hands on him. But to my surprise, the hall’s floor turned to ice and I heard another growl, from an unfamiliar dragon this time. An ice dragon went in and attacked Raja. I saw how Ren smirked with satisfaction etched in his eyes, so I figured that the dragon must be his.“Surprised, sweetheart? You see, I am also a dragon summoner. The two of us are the same. We fit for each other. I guess it’s what they call destiny?”“Destiny, you fool! What did you do to them?! Where is Demitri?!” I yelled and lifted my hand in the air. My blazing sword appeared and I held onto it tightly as I sauntered forward.I lashed my sword in the air, creating waves of fire, but he blocked it so fast with his wind blades.“I heard you are pregnant? One month? Two? It’s not visible yet so I wonder. I suggest you should just kill that child. Its father is dead, after all. You can bear
I adjusted my posture before following Raxon to see who was knocking. I was somewhat uneasy because of what just happened."Hi Rax!" It was a beautiful woman, maybe on her mid-twenties. It had a big smile but when it came to me the look suddenly disappeared. Raxon's admirer, huh? Maybe, they are close. It just went in and went straight to the room."Katrina."She looked at him again and smiled sexily. He openly glared at Raxon's body which I almost felt. The fool, on the other hand, doesn't seem to care if anyone sees him naked."I heard you were coming, so I went right away."I couldn't escape the fact that her breasts were almost bulging because of the clothes she was wearing. I was overwhelmed with irritation. Just when I'm on the verge of leaving them, Raxon held my waist. I notice the sourness of the woman's face because of that."Yes. We want to take a vacation for a while. By the way, this is Amara. My fianceé." Katrina's mouth dropped open, obviously startled. Even I was also
"I've seen you a few times at social events, but I always lose the chance to talk to you. Well, you look so stiff and distant. Looks like you don't want to get close .." He chuckled. Not interested of talking with him, I just smiled a bit."Are you ---""Amara." His words were drowned by Raxon's voice. I turned around. Standing with an authorative stance, he looked at me darkly. His forehead was furrowed, as if someone didn't like what he saw."You done?"He nodded once. He came closer to me and offered his hand. I immediately reached for you and stood up."Who is he?" He was looking at David. Eyes were cold, nothing can be seen but indifference for the person in front."Is he with you France?" David, now also standing. I nodded slowly."Raxon Bermudez, right?""Yes.""David Ardiente." It reached out its hand. But Raxon just glanced at it and then turned to me as if he had no intention of accepting it."Your clothes are already sent in the villa. You should change." My eyes almost wid
I was greeted by facilitators entering the seminar venue. I saw many acquaintances before. Mommy's friends were even there. Even though the smile was formal at me, I could see the judgment in their eyes. I understand it. It's been like that these years."It's good that your business is up and running, hija?" An older woman with a cunning look smiled at me. Her air wasn't friendly at all."That's good. Tito Demitri's expertise in business was a great help.""Oh! If so, it's true that you're marrying the second successor of Salamedas?"What?Even before I could recover, another elder approached. I never had a chance to answer the question because they had a new topic. I just excused myself and found a chair. The seminar was held in a five star hotel. My plan would have been to just book there so I wouldn't have to travel. But Kirk's offer is also okay. I really need to reduce the cost especially and more will be needed in the factory. So it's reasonable. There is a little more program b
