#courtroom##justice#An entirely unwelcomed surprise.♥Elena's POV♥Laws are important, but they can only be effective if the people know about the particular law, and rule number one of the supernatural states: No killing or slaughtering of vampires. In accordance with the noise and the crowd gathered outside the quarter, it was clear that they all demanded justice which had nothing to do with what went on in a courtroom, and more of what came out of it.We were all gathered in the official courtroom of the quarter and I could tell everyone was itching to spill one thing or the other. Father was sitting at the seat allocated to the judge and trying to get things kicking in motion, while mom stood right behind him to serve as the queen of the vampires and the alpha of the wolves."Can we all now be quiet?" Dad asked rhetorically with his strong baritone voice which instantly silenced the indistinct whispers, not forgetting the part I played in ensuring the total silence in the courtroom as I had sent a wave of calmness to everyone. It was one of my gifts to tamper with emotions as a vampire."Everything is running right on schedule. Could someone stand up and inform this court about the cause of the conflict without saying too much?" Dad asked, resting his angular jaw on his fists.A vampire known as Oscar stood up immediately to speak and he looked really pissed at first. "It is no news that witches aren't allowed to use magic, because Section 2(1) of the Constitution states clearly: In order to peacefully coexist, no witch is allowed to use magic," He paused, then continued with a smirk, "However, it would seem that one of the witches, Mary, was caught cooking something magically delicious..."The vampires cackled at his choice of words and the witches face mirrored disgust."Enough!" Dad thundered as he held his hand to stop Oscar, and signalled to the witches to air their own argument."Your vampire attacked a young witch and almost killed her," An elder witch lashed back as soon as they had been given a chance to speak, then folded her arms to her chest and crinkled her nose."Guilty or not guilty?" Father asked, obviously ignoring their own side of the story as he cocked his brows at the oldest witch known as Bastiana Lopez."It doesn't change the fact that she was almost killed. I leapt to save her life," A werewolf known as Harry chipped in, then slammed his fists on the table and wore a deep frown."Oh! Loverboy to the rescue. The mighty power of a sugary healthy pussy," Suzy whispered in my ears and chuckled."What does pussy have to do with what is going on?" I rolled my eyes and exhaled heavily."So much, sugar plum, so much that you can't even imagine." She then licked her lollipop and shot a wink at a hot werewolf guy."Why was she performing magic when it was clearly forbidden in the first place?" Dad nudged his head at the curly-haired witch that sat in a corner and appeared flustered."I owed a debt to the ancestors and I would have been dead in no time if I didn't pay up my dues," Mary replied, sniffing and fiddling with her trembling fingers."Why didn't you come to seek my permission before breaking my rule?" Dad asked in a harsh tone and cracked his knuckles, eyeing her from head to toe inquisitively."Because the last time I checked, it was none of your business," Bastiana retorted, glaring furiously at dad."What do you mean? You have something you intend getting off your chest, isn't it? Let it out then, old witch," Dad said as he inclined his head and leaned back to his chair."The last time, I asked for permission to put the soul of my dead sister to rest..." She paused as tears welled up in her eyes, struggling to give a tight-lipped smile."...but you refused!" She yelled, pointing an accusing finger at dad. She then went on, "So tell me, why should anyone even seek your permission when they will be rejected either way?" She concluded.Dad heaved a deep sigh. "Where is the vampire in question that attacked the young witch and caused the whole conflict?" He asked. His brows furrowed as his gaze shifted between everyone sitting. The courtroom became dead with silence as no one dared to move nor say a thing. In the silence, there was confusion, panic, and terror. My heart hammered fast and my body trembled. The moment the flow of words stopped was the time the blazing truth dawned on us all.Dad scoffed and said calmly, "I believe I asked a question that demands an answer.""Where is Diego?" Dad hollered with his mouth quivering with anger. His strong voice made me flinch in my seat and I could tell everyone was paralyzed by fear."He is dead," Bastiana responded, with eyes wandering every corner of the room except towards Dad, whom she obviously couldn't look in the eye.Rule number one just got broken and things were about to get really bloody.Dad's feet rhythmically tapped the wooden floor and his nails dug deeper into the table. He was apparently trying to suppress his anger."Now, what should we call this?" He let out a low peal of laughter. "A twist of fate? Or an entirely unwelcomed surprise?""More like an entirely unsurprising welcome," Mom suddenly said, and strolled to the front of the court to face everyone. She was a tall and confident woman with beautiful chestnut hair that peeked the eyes of sea spun souls, the bluest of heaven's best. Her bodycon gown hugged the softness of her curves and emphasized on her slim-thick goddess-like figure that no one dared not admire."Harry's mate was almost killed by a blood-sucking vampire so it is no fault of his to stand up to Diego and even kill him if the need arises, after all, we know how quick they are to stir up trouble," Her smile grew bigger and a twinkle illuminated in her blue eyes as she spoke those words."This is my city, things run by my rule only-" Dad started but was interrupted by mom."I'm sure he didn't mean for it to happen." Mom nudged her head at a downcast-looking Harry."That doesn't change the fact that he broke my most important rule," Dad roared as veins popped up from his forehead, so much that anyone could tell he was almost losing it."Father Kinley, the overall ruler of the human faction; you must be itching to say something, so the floor is yours." Dad said, scratching his tousled dirty blonde hair.Father Kinley was a priest and he led the Sunday service and abided by all sort of Christian doctrines. He was the pillar of the community that maintained the city's supernatural balance. He had to ensure the humans remained ignorant about the supernaturals and he ensured they stayed out of one another's way. Merely looking at him, one could tell that he was in his late fifties. His eyes and grey hair were a reflection of wisdom and experience."I think justice should be tempered with mercy. I rest my case," Father Kinley voiced out his own opinion, then raised his hand to prove his point and sat back to harmoniously watch the possible outcome."We won't sit here and watch you kill Harry or give decrees that are only in favour of the vampires," A wolf with long dreads stood up to protest and the other wolves murmured in agreement. Dad rushed towards him in blinding speed and snapped his neck at once."Is there any other miscreant who might want to challenge my authority?" Dad raised his brows and his gaze shifted between everyone sitting. When no one said anything and silence prevailed again, he spoke: "This meeting will be adjourned. My final verdict will be announced today." Dad hit the gavel and stood up.__Enjoying the story? Please drop a review and rate this amazing story, thanks. It has been twenty-four hours since the incident happened. The FBI visited the murder scene and tapped the place as a district area. They found only Amanda's corpse with her fangs retracted and her claws removed. We left them with the brain-tasking job of finding out what kind of monster she is and why she was killed in that horrific way.Hilda's corpse was placed in a wooden coffin made with the finest and darkest shade of brown with a huge 'H' accessory adorning it. Her body was placed in there with the cover opened while we mourned her. She was a great warrior and a friend. She had the best intentions for all with a weird way of showing emotions. But from her history of what happened a century again, we understood her better."Come!" Suzy beckoned on me. For the first time in history, she wasn't wearing a skimpy outfit. She was draped in a long black gown to honor Hilda. An effort I commended. I was impressed with her character development."I stood up from the liv
#Los Angeles##Blood and fangs##Wands and claws#You are outmaneuvered, out mannered and frankly speaking, quite out of your freaking mind!!!♥Elena's POV♥"Hilda moved out." Cedric's baritone thundered as he walked into my room, wiping his blood-stained mouth with the hem of a shirt."Don't ask me how the hell it happened, I'm still feeling guilty enough about what happened yesterday." She held her hands up before mumbling, "It is mental torture, I feel like I'm going crazy." She said to herself."We could probably blame it on the excessive vodka she had yesterday night after opening up to you both." Cedric plopped on the edge of my bed."Or maybe it was the club. It was probably the strobing lights of the nightclub and repetitive doof doof of the bass that triggered some form of chemical reaction in her brain, causing her to make a rash decision all of a sudden." I furrowed my brows at the both of them, lost in thoughts.
Sunbeam crept into my room bit by bit before gradually illuminating my room as the soft golden diffuse rays settled on my face, waking me in the process and disrupting my much more craved slumber."Hilda, I have made hot coffee, fried yummy eggs, and pancakes, and picked up fresh apples for you from the garden." Mom's voice reverberated around the house."Thanks mother," I said begrudgingly and used my pillow to shield my face."Come downstairs right now and come and have breakfast before I come in using formula B for you." She called out again, this time around with a threat."Five more minutes mom, just five and I will be at the dining." The shrilling sound of a voice made me jump up from my bed in nightmare. It was my mother dressed in her pajamas, singing God knows what while my eardrums bled and cried in agony. Her skin glowed in the presence of sunlight and she looked pretty chic for a woman of forty-five years."Stop ma, you are hurting my ears,
#Alaska##Sexual slavery##Vampires#Daylight rings and sexual epidemic♥Elena's POV♥On a scale of one to ten, the past two days have brought in more trouble than a global pandemic has and so far, it kept on deteriorating further. The thought of even being related to a psychopath with a jagged scarred face who has done nothing but cause trouble to us makes me sick to the bone marrow. Questions like if he was truly Kate's brother why didn't we know about him all these years, why he never attended Kate's funeral and if there will be new siblings popping out of the blue raced through my head all night and made me sleep-deprived.How can I sleep when my father is slowly losing his mind and kidnapping hostages yet he still bears the crown. Questions like what other crazy things would he embark on made me consider options like chaining him in a dungeon and treating his mental health before he can be released because him roaming around like a ti
♥Suzy's POV♥Usually I'm not always one to get involved in things that don't concern my life, my family, and Elena, but seeing Amanda trying so hard to get Hilda to bury the hatchet made me want to contribute although I can't tell if it's because of her alluring beauty or her soft voice but the fact remains unchanged and that is she is willing to make amends so Hilda should give her the benefit of the doubt and move on with her."When I screamed harder, I meant the sex and not the entire relationship, Amanda, you fucked me up." Hilda paced around her room, throwing things around and breaking fragile objects like the painting of a mermaid in ceramic porcelain we got from china two hundred years ago and that hurt me to my bone marrow."And that is why I will always apologize, I'm sorry Hilda, at least invite me in so you can see that I have changed." Her tender baritone pleaded."I don't invite cunning foxes to my home, leave my window side and let me
#Factions conflict##California##factory duels#Let me remind you why they call me that dark lord, have you ever been skinned alive?♥Elena's POV♥The day was dwindling by and the sunset was finally escaping. It blossoms upon the cloud like a sweet wild clover bloom with a flourish of romance. The sky tinges a vibrant orange glow and a glossy gold upon the horizon as the evening casts her dusky gown."C'mon everyone, hurry into my brand new whip!" Hilda beckoned on everyone as we exited the quarter. "Nice whip!" Tiana said as she caressed the cream-colored car that must have cost thousands of dollars. "I know right!" Hilda grinned, revealing her white translucent pair of teeth."Wow! Hilda, did you buy a Lamborghini Urus? She is gorgeous." I took a step back slowly to admire the car. The details of the car screamed of pure grandeur. The tyre was well crafted with layers of shar
The quarter was as silent as a graveyard when we stormed in around 6:05 pm. Hilda was feeding on a flute of blood and her hands were balled into fists."I know you are stressed at the moment but two emotions aid a supernatural to feed of the strength of the beast from within." Suzy walked towards Hilda and raised her chin to face her."Fear of the unknown and anger." I butted in, clearing the junks on a table, and inserted the printed diagram on the table with a thud."So you can either choose to sulk all day or assist us in talking sense into Cedric to release the people he stole from each faction." Suzy raised her hair up and packed them in a messy bun."What the hell happened?" Hilda tilted her head and from the look she gave, we had piqued her interest."Your lunatic of a dark lord kidnapped a kid from each faction to murder as a punishment to yesterday's abrupt end of the dinner." Tiana stormed in with her gigantic head tie flying all over the place.
#The Quarter##Los_Angeles##The supernaturals#When I screamed harder, I meant the sex and not the entire relationship♥Elena's POV♥Once upon a time in a city named Los-Angeles, an explosion of heatwave erected in the air making every individual both supernatural and human squirmish and sweaty and that invited a long and lazy restlessness to the summer days. People paraded the city in wide-brimmed hats and kept trouping into the bar to order for iced drinks and liquors. The bar was stuffy and filled with people drinking, chatting and laughing excitedly. The bar was named Thunderbolt and it reminded me of a comic cartoon from nickelodeon that comprised of a supernatural family called Thunder Man. Suzy and Hilda were both dressed in jeans bum shorts while Suzy had her blouse buttons removed to expose her bosoms. We all sat in front of the barman and drank away the late afternoon that led to early evening. The air conditioner was on but it felt ineffective as a resu
That rug, that stupid old filthy rug, had seen more dancing shoes than a ballroom. It was where we twirled, everyone with everyone, the music escaping from every open window and door. Once the colour of cherries, now it told an earthy tale of love and laughter, of more good times than anyone is ever promised. I watched as compelled humans replaced it with a brand new black rug which will be starting its chapter with us tonight. The walls were scrubbed clean of dry crusty blood that has become a stain on the beige and cream coloured walls. The furnace burned brighter and food ranging from baked buffalo chicken wings, peel and eat shrimp with barbecue spices, teriyaki wings, crab cakes with horseradish cream, caramelized onion dips, and fresh fruit juice and soda sat gallantly on the dining table. Humans dressed smartly in a well-tailored white shirt with pants suspenders stood by the table angles with one bread knife on one hand and a glass cup on the other.Soft music diff
