Another Man

“Does it hurt much?”

Aldo was gentle, he looked almost scared as he tended to Rain, careful so he wouldn’t cause additional pain, which was unavoidable but he still tried.

Rain pursed her lips to prevent her smirk from turning into a full blown smile, he was cute for a man as big and intimidating looking as he was.

“It doesn’t hurt that much Aldo,” she was lying, it hurt like a bitch but the man already looked guilty as he was.

“Maybe I should continue from here?”

Aldo nodded quickly as soon as he’d heard her suggestion. He stood up, handed over the spirit soaked and took a few steps back away from her.

Rain gave him a reassuring smile which she was pretty sure she needed more. She treated her injury in silence, a silence that Aldo didn’t bother to break, he just stood there, his eyes following her every movement and every now and then he would fidget and scrunch up his face whenever she hissed in pain.

After she was done, she looked up at him and smiled
