Chapter 21
When Iris woke up in the morning all she could feel was a sharp pain in her back. But the warmth beneath her body was giving her some relief. Without opening her close she pushed her trembling body more towards the warmth to snuggle. Her fever didn't subdue and all she could search for was just a bit of comfort.
She felt something hard and masculine when her hand tried to grab the thing on which she was resting her body. To her utter surprise, the feeling of human skin scared the shit out of her. But she was too exhausted to pull herself from her lying position.

The next morning when Iris woke up she found herself lying in the same room wrapped in a sheet. Her eyes landed on the nightstand where the water jug was kept. Two days passed and all Iris did was to wake up finish her morning routine take a shower and went back to sleep after taking medicine. Since Leonard and they shared that complicated encounter, she hadn't seen him coming to her room anymore. Her back healed and the pain subdued. When Iris slowly fluttered her eyes open, she felt someone had kept boulders on her eyelids. There was so much drowsiness and heaviness that she felt to go back to her previous peaceful previous slumber. She didn't want to just keep on staring awkwardly at the ceiling. "So, you are finally awake." A little mocking yet deep voice was heard by her before she could escape reality. Her head was tilted sideways and all she could see was the devil giving her a different look at her condition. "You......" She didn't finish her last sentence remembering vaguely all those past incidents. The moment her mind captured the situation where she was badly bitten, her hand involuntarily moved towards the swell. "Ah...."
