Chapter 21: Recognition

Cilyna's eyes felt like glue had been smeared across them. She reached up to rub the sleep away before realizing she was not alone nor was she in her own home.

"So everything really did happen?" she thought to herself.

"Unfortunately, yes." she heard her wolf whisper back in response.

"How are you feeling?" Kaynon asked as she fully regained consciousness, now able to open her eyes.

"Like hell warmed over. What happened? How long have I been out?" She responded groggily.

"You were shot with silver. The bullet passed through, luckily, but you've been out for five days from the residue left by the bullet." He answered on a sigh, reluctantly.

"FIVE DAYS!" She jolted up, getting a head rush in the process, placing her hands up to her forehead.

"Lay back down before you pass out again." He responded calmly as he laid his warm palms on her shoulders easing her back against the fur pallet.

She held her hand to her forehead and a groan escaped her lips with the pain that began to intensify.
