Chapter 9: No Turning Back

Kaynon kept to the shadows as he watched her walk this way and that, not knowing where she was going. He kept his distance, as she had demanded, though the more she seemed to struggle with her sense of direction the more he wanted to intervene. He wanted to tell her she was going the wrong way numerous times but did not want to let her realize he was still following her.
